Is there a way to make this turn on and off with the bike so it is not left on accidentally? Like a normal DRL would on a car.

Hello Clarence, yes.. if you wanted this to turn on/off with the bike.. you'd simply connect it to an "ignition only" 12v power source.

How does this work with the guard, will it still show visibly?

Hello John, we're running this with the front grille guard on one of our shop Ryker's. The visibility of the strip depends on the angle you're viewing it from. As you walk towards or away from the trike.. there will be moments the light strip is obstructed by parts of the grille guard.

Love mine! Just wish it would save the settings so I didn’t have to turn it on manually and go through all modes to get to what I want (regular red knight rider sequence). That’s the only thing I don’t like abt it

Hello Victor, it should save the last setting you were on. Are you connected to a switched ignition 12v or full time 12v? It needs to be connected to a full time 12v for the memory setting to operate correctly.

Hello Potato, the module box should not be exposed to the elements and is not waterproof. The wiring to the Night Rider light itself is waterproof, and the light strip itself is incased in a smoked black tubing to protect against water, as well as road debris.

Hello Russell, we have ours mounted with the Grille Guard on our Rally. The view of the chaser light strip honestly depends on where you're standing. If you're out in front of the bike, say 10ft or so, it's fully visible.. as you walk closer the bike, the lower grille guard bar can impede the light strip. Hope that helps!

What size screw is used on the battery? With all the accessories that go to the battery, it would appear that the screw will be too small at some point.

Hello Todd, please make sure the inline fuse is good and that your remote control battery is seated properly.

If you mount using the location shown in the video you will not be using the 3M adhesive strip. Just zip ties for mounting.

Does having all of these light mods put significant extra load on the battery?

Hello Odyssey, we use LED lighting strips because they pull minimal current. We have a dozen or so lighting strips on our bikes with no issues. If you're plan on sitting with the engine "off" you may consider our "Neutrino" Smart Phone Fuse Block which will allow you to have your lights automatically turn off when the battery voltage hits a programmed "shutoff" voltage. This will ensure that you don't run your lights too long and push the battery voltage below what's needed for engine startup.

Hello Pat, the "white" constant DRL (Daytime Running Light) should be no issue while riding. The "color" sequences are probably not legal while riding in any state. The color sequences are intended for use while the bike is not in motion.
