The cable should be tied into the barrel of the lock, such that when you turn the key to unlock the parking brake it also disengages the glovebox lock.

Mine comes with a locking Trunk but this seems like a big waste of time because if you walk up to any riker gives the hood a little pop when you're with your fist they all open anyway

you did not show where the eye gets attached to? so it just hangs loose?

Wow.. I can't believe we didn't show that in the video. Lol. It attaches to the T30 torx bolt that's under the cover. Let me know how it goes.

Looks sweet though I see an issue. That crimp on eye looks like an electrical ring terminal and judging by how it got deformed in the video I'd guess it will be a weak link in the system.

will this work if i have the electric lock installed? Cuz my electric lock is broken
@Slingmods2 жыл бұрын
I was assume that it would not, as this lock kit was designed for installation on bikes "without" a lock previously installed.

Not safe if you're parked at an incline, cause you have to shift out of park to unlock.

Hello Sano, releasing your parking brake on a hill is NOT a good idea. We offered this product because of how many people requested it. We have our "keyed" glove box lock at the link below, which does not combine functionality with the parking brake lever and is a perfect alternative for avid hill parkers. www.slingmods.com/canam-ryker-keyed-glove-box-lock

Did not work for me, could not get the cable tight enough to lock.

Did you end up fixing this? I imagine you could cut off the crimped eye (at the parking brake side) and shorten the cable at that end to make it tight enough to work.
