I installed the tensioner and the KnN filter as well last summer and it's great. Regarding the rear shock, I installed an Elka Stage 2 and wow it's a difference in comfort. Last week I installed the Lamonster Garage Pipe and the Lamonster Garage fogs. This summer the tires ... thanks for the video and watch my chanel too!
@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
+LAMACHINE i was looking at that shock to be honest with you. It is a lot better then the 2 up shock from BRP. It maybe the next one I get. I will check your channel out this weekend! Thank you for watching.

Yes to Amazon! That's how I ordered my windshield and cover. I know our dealers need to make a profit, but good grief, we have to do better if we can. Nice video bro!

+Speedsterjohnny. I was a the shop with money in hand they did not want to take it so easy fix.. Walk out and order online and I got it sooner then if I waited for the dealer. Thank you for watching.

Great plan. I think that you will like those tires. They will last a LOT longer than the Kendas and you will be surprised at the traction advantage. I am going to look up that tensioner although the belt on the RT-S doesn't vibrate much.

Dude, no back rest? I've done lots of mods to my '18 F3S, but the back rest is amazing. Helps hanging on in fast turns too. The tire info is surprising.

I want to upgrade the seat and when I do the back rest will be a must. The tires do will we will see how they hold up.

I have a F3 ltd. Which federal tires did you go with or suggest? Both front. Also recommendations for rear? Thanks for help. Really enjoy the videos. Thank you
@spyderryder5 жыл бұрын
I like the Kumho Escada. They make them in the same size and I get around 20,000 miles out of the rear tire. The fronts I put in the last comment but I'm a little behind on comments. They are Formoza AZ01. They seem to be holding up very well so far.

It's ok to use the tensioner but I would strongly advised getting the upgrade bearing kit online
@spyderryder3 жыл бұрын
I removed it after a year. Not only did the bearing fail but also the spring. I agree upgrade the bearing.

nice . So you can change to KN air filter without having to reprogramming the ecu
@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
+The Blue Bike & Doyle if you only change one item..filter or pipe you will be ok. If you change both then you need to reprogram the ecu.

Good upgrades, I have quite a similar upgrade project going on. I just wanted to ask about the 2-up shock. Do you know is it possible to remove the spring (for painting purposes)?
@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
Yes you can you would need a spring compressor.

How many times have you replaced spark plugs and what did that cost? I'm torn between a Spyder and a Ryker. I'm 5'-8", 29" inseam and short arms. The no tools quick adjustment of footpegs and handlebars I see as a major plus of the Ryker. Just trying to decide between the 2 3-wheel bikes. I love the Shad bags on the F3.
@spyderryder4 жыл бұрын
To be honest I have never changed the plugs on this spyder. The Ryker is a very nice bike and is very adjustable witch is a plus. I would also ask yourself how will you ride it. If it just aroind town or shorter trips they the Ryker would be great. If you are thinking about putting down a ton of miles I would look at the spyder. You can do that on a ryker but the spyder would be more comfortable. Good luck

Hi there. I’ve been looking at the can-Am spyder do to a wreck in January doctor telling me to stay off my motorcycle so I don’t mess up my back more. A friend of mine said maybe trike are the spyder. Watching this video hearing you say that you may not keep it. Just wanted to ask you if there is major problems with the can-Am before I go buy one??
@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
This one is my third spyder and I'm looking to replace this one with another spyder. Im at 50,000 miles now and I think I would like to try the touring one. I love the spyder and with a bad back myself the spyder is wonderful! I hope you recover quickly! One issue with the F3 is a very soft rear shock and front belt pulley issues.
@wolfwalker21776 жыл бұрын
Greatrydes Ok thanks I am going to recover the doctor said about a year or so depending on me and what I do to help myself. Lol thanks for getting back to me I’ve watched a few of your videos on the spyder sub to your channel now so I can get info on it. I love the way it looks. Myself I like to just get out and ride without the cage around me sometimes but it gets pretty hot here in Vegas for the summer. Lol but the rest of the year here I bike it.
@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
It sounds like a very long recovery good luck! At first I did not like the look of the F3 but over the last year I have really grown to love the muscular look at the F3! Its all about the joy we get when we are out in the air let our troubles fall at the Wayside!! Thank you for watching!

I just bought a 2015 F3 S SE6 with 27,000. looks like it has a new belt, and in a sack of parts that came with it is a slightly used belt tensioner. I'm wondering if the Honda dealer took it off when they replaced the belt? I'm going to put it back on and compare the ride.
@spyderryder4 жыл бұрын
So I just removed mine and I dont like the belt vibrations. I think I will be putting a new one on. Enjoy the new to you spyder!

@@spyderryder I put it on last night and went for a short ride. It did make a difference. I'll order a new one to have on hand.

@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
No not right now but one day I will.
@JohnBraman4135 жыл бұрын
what did you use for the rear tire?
@spyderryder5 жыл бұрын
I use a Kumho tire. Its works great and its the factory size. You can find them on tire rack for around $100.00
@JohnBraman4135 жыл бұрын
how are the tires holding up?
@spyderryder5 жыл бұрын
The back one held up good. I will need to change the rear one soon. I get around 20k miles out of then. The front look like new and handle great!
@endeavortrikes6 ай бұрын
The original Kenda tires ARE car tires they are just horrible car tires. Best practice is to go with some other brand car tie and set the front to 14psi and rear to 24psi and you should see 45k miles. Achilles, federal and kumho are great options
@spyderryder6 ай бұрын
I never get more than 20k miles out of my back tire.

Federal tire pressure?

I will run around 14 psi at first and adjust up from there.
@user-ib3fk1pj4t6 жыл бұрын
Thank you. But Tire shop said that it’s car tires so ... may be 35psi ..?
@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
To much air. A car tire can support more weight so you can drop the air pressure!

something is wrong , no way can you move the drive belt on my spyder .
@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
What do you mean you can't move the drive belt?
@harryhall63366 жыл бұрын
I also have a 2016 F-3 Limited Spyder and with the proper tension on the belt it can not be moved like you are showing .
@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
From new at speed the belt will banjo up and down. Many people have complained of vibrations from the belt that is why BRP came out with the tensioner to help relieve that.
@harryhall63366 жыл бұрын
never had that problem
@spyderryder6 жыл бұрын
My spyder was not bad very little vibration. I installed the new tensioner and I'm amazed at how smooth the spider rides now.

I bought my first Spyder from "Central Florida Power Sports in Kissimmee Fla. They were at the time the worst Spyder Dealer I had ever felt with they ripped me off several times on wheels and tires. They did t support me when I had the steering shaft break which if they had Can Am would have warranted. I will never buy from them again!
@spyderryder5 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear a bad dealer can make owning a spyder a very bad experience. I hope you are still on a spyder. Thank you for watching and Stay safe!
