Its hard not to like the blue ridge area and reverse trikes. I found it interesting the one couple was going to the deadwood trike rally. we do it every year and it's a great time to be in SD. Isn't it nice to ride through the countryside quietly and peacefully as a group with no need for ear plugs. we don't normally do groups but do pull a trailer and at times a camper. It's wonderful way to travel and enjoy the back roads.

John/Miriam, I guess I missed this episode. I just learned from a friend in Northern VA that a couple I knew from the 'old days' met up with you on this group ride, Frank and Nancy Segara. At the time we were Southern Cruiser members in Northern VA back in early 2000's. Frank bought a 2021 RTL and they were breaking in this fine Frank has been following your Vlog and noticed my comments and wondered if it was the same Bill Williams from the 'old days'. It's a small world after all. Lots of history, lots of water under the bridge since my riding with the Southern Cruisers back then. An interesting back story, but not enough space, so I will leave you a little 'thanks' for getting ole Frank and I back together, Spyders are everywhere with happy riders.

What a great group! It was a really good size; believe me, bigger is not better! Keeping track of a large (12-18) group is almost impossible, but we struggle along out here in the desert. I'm so jealous of your temperatures, cold and rain are pleasantries in the desert. It's been brutal this summer in Las Vegas. We chased a rare rainstorm out of town today, reveling in the mid-80s, but it was well in the 90s by the time we rolled home. 100+ on a daily basis is just not compatible with riding. We did an overnight blast to N. California a couple of weeks ago (the only way to travel in the desert), only to encounter record highs there, too. Well. they suffered, but we basked in the 90s. Ha! So happy to see you are enjoying your retirement. Be safe, you two...

Thanks for the video! I am researching Can-Am people renew on them! I am retied from bad fall at work I had left knee total replaced & wear right knee brace! An its hard to rides my Piaggio MP3 250 when It so heavy fall down!

How far is Lake George from you, Wayne? Don and Patti spoke highly of the spyder rally in that area. We won’t make it this year but maybe next?? Who knows? Would love to ride with you.

@@miriambryant1896 Lake George is about 340 miles, it's beautiful there, my last camping trip when I was still on 2 wheels was June 2020 in Lake George. Spyder Quest is in September snd it's a "maybe" for me, but depends on work. That event looks amazing though, numerous different group rides and events.

I've been riding motorcycles for 50 years and am now on my 7th ride and it's a 2012 RT. I can honestly say that the most friendly folks I've met during that time are on Spyders... Wish there was still a group of Spyder Ryders in my area.

Oh man we missed the party! I wanted to make this trip in the worst way but we didn't have anyone to care for our 3 small pups. We were in Front Royal visiting a friend while you all were cruising around. We took our Spyder for the trip and the weather was absolutely perfect. If you ever make it to the Northern end of SLD and need something to eat I suggest a little burger place called Splunkers. Hopefully we will get to meet everyone someday and chat over an evening cocktail.

Spyders in Western NY usually hibernate for about 4 months (Nov/Dec-ish to Mar/Apr-ish) they don't like to venture out in the white stuff. But I too am in for a trip south to meet up, and I tow my lil vacation home behind me.

Morning John and Miriam. Saw the video I believe all had a good time. Can't believe how far away some folks came. Wow. But now a days it shouldn't be surprising. Wish we could have made it. Had we come on the two wheeler, we would have been the fly in the ointment, so to speak. Still waiting to get the bike triked. Hopefully in less than a month. I don't know about the individual interviews though, I would have been so embarrassed. OH well we would have done it. Yall are good peeps glad to be associated with ya. Bill, we had a Triumph rider join the group so you would not have been the lone 2-wheeler. He didn’t ride with us but enjoyed the fellowship at the lodge. Declining the interview is always an option! You and Cathy were missed! You are always welcome!

We are from East Tennessee and rode the Blue Ridge Parkway and then the Skyline Drive end to end in May. I rode my Spyder and husband John rode his Gold Wing. Had a terrific time! Wish you had done your trip then…would have loved to meet you!

Yea - as a former H.D. rider with a HOG group it's perfectly acceptable for anyone in the group to take a break from the others, especially if they're not bound by any written agreement. Too bad you all can't be linked via a Sena or Cardo set-up. I'm enjoying watching your video(s), even though I'm not a Spyder owner. I currently ride a Honda Goldwing. But - I'm eyeing these things (Spyders), and I'm learning a lot by watching a few of your videos. Have fun and ride safe! 👍😁
