I just started financing a 2013 can-am spyder st se5 (15k miles for $11k) and just got my license last week. It has cruise control, speakers, and foot step things. This video was very informative, thanks! I am disabled. I have kidney failure and can't lift heavy things. I tried lifting a harley without gas and I couldn't even do that. It sucked too because I'm a harley girl at heart. I've wanted to be a motorcyclist since I was a kid. This tryke is sporty and fun to ride. Ive known about spyders since 2012. I heard from another rider that they like them because it's just like an ATV.

I am in fact a disabled vet and bought one for that actual purpose. I bought a 2012 used with less then 3k on it for around 11 grand, I had to move the brake from the the right foot to the right handle bar where a traditional brake would be not because I am used to the brake being there this is actually my first bike, but because I don't have a right foot at all, or a right leg for that matter. I left it in Afghanistan they took it from me in customs kidding I lost it to a suicide bomber nonetheless I love my can am spyder. I have been trying to find out can you upgrade the cluster gauges on the RS to the one on the STS and RT ?

Robert Barber Sorry to read that you lost your leg, Rob. What branch were you? And thanks, not many people care for the vets, I do.

I was army I am now retired and mostly utilize my time spending it with my wife and children something I didn't get to do much before, but I was an MP in fact if you youtube my name we have a video up from homesforourtroops me and my wife both talking about the whole process. Homesforourtroops is an amazing organization and once I get my house that is outfitted for me it will be a huge sigh of relief because if I am not wearing my prosthetic I can't get around in my own home. Anyway I love my spyder and i try to make excuses to go places on it, anyway I gotta go forgot to get milk on the way home oh well guess I gotta go out on my spyder again dang it !! LOL

Thank you for your service, I was also a Army MP (95 Bravo), a police officer in Michigan, Dept of Homeland Security, then on September 14, 2012 had a motorcycle wipeout after hitting ice on Interstate in Pittsburgh, down at 27 mph. After many, many surgeries in six years, still can’t walk on my own without a Walker. Last week bought a Can-Am Spyder, at the dealership tried getting on Can-Am four times, never made it on, problem left leg is bad and very weak, but will keep trying until I can get on. But, being retired, all I have is time on my hands, so will accomplish, just take longer than most people.

Thanks for the introduction to the product. I've been riding motorcycles for about thirty years now and I'm starting to think about alternatives now that I have bad knees to contend with. What about the centrifugal force on the body in turns? How do can am riders handle that?

Please consider holding your camera while filming the stationary portions of the video. Your head moving up and down, taking the video up and down, gets really difficult to watch or to concentrate on the subject. I understand that once you are riding that's the safest way to capture the video while also getting the live audio. But walking around the bike in the parking lot. Otherwise, useful information.

Good review but he upshifts at too low rpm. Clutches aren't fully engaged until 3800 rpm.
