How do you know when you need a seal? I just bought a 2013 Can Am Commander 1000 this summer. It only had 811 miles on it. I've put another 80 miles on it. Been really busy so I didn't notice that someone had really botched up the lower radiator inlet hose install. It's wrapped around the shock tower. Need to get this straightened out.

There will be coolant in the weep line near the bottom of the pump. It dosent mean 100% its bad but if it refills in a short time then it's safe to say it's leaking. I usually wait 30 minutes or so just while I do the rest of the service.

Do you have a vid on install. Also is a bad seal etc cause overheating already changed impeller which didn't look all that bad

I don't have any install footage but the next time I do a seal I will try and get some, a bad seal typically won't cause overheating but if you lost enough coolant I could see it being a problem. Most can am overheating issues Are a plugged radiator (it only takes about 1/4 pluged)or a fan not working. Proper diagnosis saves money go through all the steps.

They shouldn't mix from that seal unless the weep hole/line is plugged. You could have a bad seal elsewhere in the engine. Proper diagnosis required lol.
