Can-am X3 first oil change & service How to do it yourself

We do our fist 500 mile service instead of 1000 miles. We also go through some of the other things you may want to consider when servicing your Maverick X3. If no major problems then why
not save a few bucks and learn your machine yourself.
Blowing out clutch compartment- 4:35

I'm going to get the KWT X2 Particle Separator. It is a passive separator so it isn't as noisy. Also tray on it seems real easy to empty out on each big run or after a few short ones. I'll be doing by first fluid changes (including diff / crank case) pretty soon and definitely earlier than the book calls for. I'll probably run the 40 in the winter and the 50 weight in the summer.

I would like to get a particle separator in hopes that it will fit in the area because of other accessories I've already added. How many miles are you doing diff and crank case fluids?

@@reviewittv1802 I'm intending to do it all including oil by 500 miles or between 50 and 75 hours at most. We all know how far intent gets ya when it comes to getting a job done that could be put off for next weekend. ;) I'm usually pretty good about taking care of my vehicles though. So, I've got that going for me. Yeah I'm not sure which separator might fit, but I think some might be more flexible than others... Just a little custom ducting maybe?

Good call on the greaser. I used a grease gun way too many times before I learned how that stupid connector on the end worked. Lol.

Very helpful brother, thanks for the details - I almost drained the transmission oil lol smh - I have a 2021 XRS TRR 4 seater and specs are the same- you saved my ass. Ohh and btw the dealer wanted to charge me $650 for this service.

Hey man I have an x3 xrs , I just did the first engine oil maintenance. I filled the oil level just above the max line, I took the car for a ride and in about 10 minutes it turned off while driving and it won’t start. If I let it sit for like 15 or 30 minutes it start but for like 5 seconds. You think that overfilled oil level can cause this ? And how can I solve it ?
