Currently I'm working on replacing the MTX stereo with a Fosgate system. I've got 4 10" subs and 2 1000 watt amps and 10 6.5" speakers. Now I just need the time to put it all in.

@zakedwards9509 that's bad ass man. I seen a x3 with 2 stage 6 systems was crazy loud

@frankb8253 should be a whole lot better than this MTX stereo thats in there. So far it has been the only accessory I've added that I've regret. Hopefully it will all workout well without having to add an alternator. I'm planning to run dual batteries.

Mine sounds ok when adjusted correctly but you can’t hear anything anyway when driving my problem I have is I’d like to be able to use the stereo while I’m sitting around somewhere but it don’t stay on when the the machine is off that’s dumb. We paid 1300 for ours installed my machine is a 2022

We have the same problem of that the machine will shut off and so does the stereo. It is pretty dumb.

@@zakedwards9509 if I get ambitious I may chase down the power wires and put them on a switch we camp a lot with our old rv would be nice to just have the x3 stereo playing outside and just have the battery on the charger at the same time
@zakedwards9509 Жыл бұрын
@@zachcook1185 I was also thinking of doing that so it would keep playing. Although I’m not sure if a company has already come up with a solution for this where it’s maybe a simple plug and play kit.

@@zakedwards9509 I found a power inverter kit that allows you to plug in and keep charging your battery and run the stereo but in my opinion its to expensive I think it would be a better solution and more cost effective to just put your stereo on a switch for power and plug your battery into a good charger next to your camper or whatever you want. Even when we tent camp I bring a small generator so keeping it on a charger wouldn’t be a big deal and the stereo sounds good enough in my opinion it would be perfect for some music just sitting at camp or wherever you are.

There should be a 12 V ignition wire on the back of the wiring harness to that deck. Instead of that wire running to your ignition switch, run it to the + terminal on the battery directly and then put in an in line switch. That should take care of it.
