It's called Baju Kelawar (literally translated to Bat Dress) and worn as a nightgown. Rachel feeling like she can fly in it is the perfect reason why the dress is called what it's called. Haha

Overall, dad did well in the cooking.. Rachel's gift is pretty much can go either way.. it's a dress/gown.. usually back here in Malaysia (and Malaysians abroad), you can use it as a nightgown (to 😴😴😴), and then wake up still using it to go to the market in the morning.. or wear it the whole day in the house if you're not going out. It's very comfy and cooling at the same time.
