The thing with Regigigas is that once Slow Start finally wears off, it's one of the strongest Pokemon out there. Thing is, normally it doesn't last that long. There's ways to get around it in doubles (Gastro Acid, Worry Seed, Simple Beam, etc. all work on Slow Start) but its ability makes it non-viable in singles. But in a metronome battle like this? Anything can happen. In this case, the battle was decided by Metronome's limited PP and the fact that Regigigas used fling to throw the Leppa Berry it was holding, forcing it down to struggle. That's random chance, nothing more.

even without struggle I think it wouldn't be so easy for Regigigas. being out in the field for so long makes it likely to get unlucky cripples like poison, toxic, burn, curse, selfdestruct, endeavor, defense drop followed by strong attack, etc.

After 2 minutes "The battle is entering its final stage!" Hmm not sure it is 😂 I found it funny that Regigigas used pluck on its first turn to gain 1PP, then later flung its own leppa berry 😂 and when Smoochum used dig just before Regigigas got fire blast I thought wow so lucky! And I do like that even though Regigigas did a lot of damage to itself by using struggle, in the end it was Budew that dealt the killing blow 😂

Only Smoochum can legally learn Metronome. Azurill, Tyrogue, Mime Jr. and Igglybuff can only learn it after they evolve. Budew, its evolutions, and Regigigas cannot learn it at all. You must’ve used something to hack Metronome into their movesets.

Yes, the input menu is different when playing against cpu. There might be less inputs in total but they take longer. I haven't actually timed it but it seems to make little to no difference, so I just leave it like this since it gives me more control. In double battles I use a controller macro, so it's not that bad.

@@MetroNomicon777 actually the downside about that is the amount of moves that were cut from the games. Ultra Sun and Moon are best Metronome battles as they have the largest pool of moves to randomly pick.

You could edit the pp beyond the normally possible level but I'm not sure if it would work ingame, I'd have to test it. But I think struggle being a possibility makes it more interesting and it only happens very rarely anyway.

This reminds me of one time years ago when I was messing with the encounter tables and warps in Pokemon Emerald and I entered Groudon's cave on the route on the right of Rustboro with a team made of level 10~14 Torchic, Cleffa and Shroomish Somehow, thanks to luck (Groudon missed a couple times in a row) and status effects they managed to resist long enough for RNG to play in my favour and catch Groudon 😂 Pretty much average Mystery Dungeon gameplay lol

These moments are rare but it's so satisfying when rng works in your favor. When I encountered Rayquaza for the first time, I managed to catch it from full health with a regular Pokeball.

@@MetroNomicon777 Oh that's so cool! That sort of happened to me too with Necrozma in UltraMoon, I caught it at full health in a Luxury Ball with a critical catch. I remember I also caught Mewtwo in a regular PokéBall when I met it for the first time in Pokémon Blue, but I don't remember if it was at full life. I only remember that my Blastoise had frozen it and it was like, the third ball I threw at it or so.
