This was the most dangerous thing I've ever done...
I gave myself 30 days straight to train in MMA / mixed martial arts having never fought or done MMA in my life before I had an organised fight with a pro MMA fighter.
Big shoutout to FIGHTING FIT MANCHESTER!
www.fightingfitmanchester.com/
These guys brought me on my journey through mixed martial arts, teaching me Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, and kickboxing. If you guys are in Manchester and want to try MMA definitely check them out- they are the best!

Stef Murray is a BMF. I'm glad that he treated it like a light sparring session. He hit you enough to make it painful, but not enough to do permanent damage. He also hit you in strategic spots to avoid knocking you out or breaking your bones. Classy dude.

Respect. I feel like what really separates a fighter and a trainee is the fact that fighters are not scared of damaging themselves in order to damage the opponent. A big example is the leg kicks, trainees will usually pull back on the power to try and get less recoil but as people have seen in the UFC, fighters will fully commit on power even though it can break their own leg. But mad props to you.💯

The amount of control on Stef Murray was superb. He kept the ilusion in Dara that it was still going for 3 rounds while it could have been finished in the first 10 seconds. And he still ramped it up a bit to finish off the fight without throwing a single hard strike to the head so Dara would not be hurt. To see this and then hear that comment in the end by Dara, did not sit well. That "if you try you can do it..." will not cut it if the other guy has been doing it professionaly for 15+ years of his life! You will never get all those years in dedication and sacrifice by just wanting it badly... You should be reasonable and humble.

Good job having the guts to get in there. At least you didn't quit. I do think the pro was pulling punches it really highlights the differences in your average guy and a trained professional fighter.

Actually, I gotta say, having only watched right prior to the fight now, perhaps it falls a part under pressure which I can't blame if it does as a first time thing... but your hands look pretty solid, you look like someone who's trained boxing much longer.

man you don't know how happy this makes me - no i hadn't really done anything before this! literally did maybe 3 weeks of boxing as a kid at one point but that's about the height of it except messing around backyard style with friends. For the 30 days i did almost 2-3 hours each day so it was super intense. Loved the boxing, didn't really get much muscle memory into kicks (if i was to do it over I'd do a few sessions of kickboxing throughout the week too - mma training maybe didn't build enough of a foundation on kicks for me to use them in the fight). Gotta say my eyes are open to martial arts now and i really liked it

@@DaraTah I'm glad my comment made you feel good :) With my traditional background, I was a pretty good kicker well before I learned to box with some proper mechanics (I pressure test animal style Kung Fu in sparring, but for the most part I mix my Kung Fu kicks with boxing and BJJ when sparring without weapons).

Love this. All of it! What sportsmanship! Honestly it reminded me of watching a good father wrestle his son. No malice from the “father aspect. The pro was exactly that. A professional to the letter! What an absolute gentleman. Knowing the apprentices skill set and playing directly to that! From the second it started to the millisecond it ended! Maybe it’s the devil’s lettuce? But man, what a text book lecture! Proper skills! It’s refreshing to see that. Respectfully. Thank you!

Well done Dara, you look to have more than 30 days experience. To the point where I speculate wether you've casually trained in the past or prior to upping your training for the challenge. Looks like you went pretty hard although he might have been holding back a bit from what I can tell, or at least selecting his shots to cary you a bit... like he practically had you in a triangle choke near the end and then opted to stand up instead... but either way, you held your own for the most part and looked pretty decent, incredibly decent for 30 days... good stuff :)

100% -he was looking for a much more stylish ending haha. like that spinning backfist was beautiful - it's not most opponents he would be trying that on! I'm really glad it wasn't the triangle choke that he decided to end it on

@@DaraTah haha, if you come to Denmark I’m down for an MMA fight with you (with no elbows and ground and pound to the body only)… maybe like an exhibition where it’s harder and more competitive than sparring, but we’re not trying to destroy each other. KZbinr vs KZbinr, “fighting a Kung Fu black belt”, there could be a couple of interesting angles :p awesome to see how your channel has grown since I first subbed, are you also experiencing a lot of subscribers unsubbing or getting deleted by the algorithm? I was hoping to reach 35k subs this year, but looks like 30k is proving difficult enough :p

Amazing training! Now that guy is a real gentleman, he could’ve your head in mere of seconds, there’s a huge gap between a pro fighter and a just a guy who likes the sport. Still good job
