Elemer is kind of a mirror to completist players. A bloodthirsty knight on a mission to take all the bell bearings, no matter the cost. And his lore is also kind of badass. He kills his executioners with the same sword they were gonna use on him and takes over their castle with ease. Truly the main character of his own lore segment. I just wished his real form was more challenging than the Caelid version; and that he had more moves for that fight in particular

The Millicent fight was so disappointing. She is suppose to be much stronger than all of her sisters and has a health potion unlike them. But Amy and Maureen put up WAY better fights against Elemer. Amy nearly beat him and Maureen took out half of his health. So I was expecting so much more from Millicent. :(

Well, her weapon doesn't have great reach or damage like Maureen's, she kept rolling around, and getting cucked out of her WFD. She usually outperforms. Elemer's too aggressive to put up with that.

@@wyattthealchemist I saw another KZbinr that explains this… he said in order to give the bosses a fair fight we need to put them on a similar scale… and he actually does fights with original scale then with everyone having the same scale … and trust me it’s not fun to not have them at the original scale most late game bosses would one shot early game bosses … same with the npc. Not sure how scaling works but basically it makes them as if they are in the same arena for example limgrave scaling

His attack animations are great. I love it when he reaches over his shoulder and braces with the shield, then charges. He pulls it out at any range, too, so it's not just a gap closer. The 720 swing into the overhead slash is great, too.

Aw man, I love Elmer so much! The way he uses his sword with the "force" similar to Darth Vader (from the Caelid Tournament Video) is so unique and intimidating! He is definitely a force to be reckoned with here. It looked like during the Millicent fight that he impaled Millicent mid-jump at 15:52, ouch. Also loved how Elmer kept having Inquisitor Ghiza roll after each hit he gave him!

Elmer is just an intimidating boss like crucible knights. I think that’s what makes enemies like that so difficult. They just eat hits for breakfast and attack nonstop. It feels like there’s no hope you’ll win when you fight them. They’re just straight up tanks.

@@RyanVonAegir He's the hardest recurring boss, but he isn't that bad, he just stops you from being a pussy and running away to heal because he will track you down with his predator missile/sword And he isn't unpredictable, he gives you just enough time to dodge and react to some of his quicker attacks and his movements also make sense and he doesn't delay his attacks to the point of slow motion like some others

These fights really need proper level scaling. Each area has a modifier and they should be set the same for every npc so you don’t get things like Jerren only doing 23 damage cause he’s found at Redmane Castle and Raya Lucaria while Elemer is found at the shaded castle.

I think this has reenforced my view that the combat in ER for bosses (although I think is a good game in general) is not actually very fun. Every attack can stagger/ knock you down but staggering the boss is super hard and even if you can it lasts seconds. I hope future souls games find another way to keep it difficult without making it feel artifical (bloodborne hint hint)
