I think you have a technical out m1g2 to the infinite life by using Soulherder to blink Aether Channeler, Channeler to bounce Subtlety, and Subtlety your own spell every turn to win through decking. Almost certainly not worth playing out but fun that it exists!

Seeing parallax wave reminds me of Randy buehler’s gauntlet of greatness where rebels really outperformed compared to many other broken decks and it was almost entirely off of parallax wave.

I haven't really gotten ample experience in my own cube, but I suspect it's just kind of underwhelming. There are some cards in cube it just hoses as you're never casting them, but a big part of what makes Elite Spellbinder so effective is that it adds a ton of pressure on top of that effect, making a much broader range of spells uncastable if hit by the effect. Gobakhan by comparison adds no additional pressure by itself, and conversely encourages you to take a turn or two off to set up for a stronger long game.

What's the MTGO etiquette for infinite life combos? I know this deck didn't have an alternative win condition, but if you had a milling or toxic plan for instance, how much life do they need to generate? What if they don't know about your alternative plan? Also, glad to see you get some wins after a rough week!

Really it comes down to who has the most cards in deck. If they have more cards in deck then you should concede. Otherwise play it out. LSV conceded because he also had 4 less cards in deck.

Worth noting MODO has player clocks. Here, LSV concedes because it's the spirit of the event. If this were something like a Vintage Daily event? You make your opponent play it out because they lose the match if they run out of time. MODO doesn't always have shortcuts for things, so you have to actually click on each ability an infinite number of times. They'll run out of time before they can gain infinite life. There's nothing actually in MtG's rules that says you have to concede when you have no outs. It's part of why Splinter Twin wasn't a popular Modern deck online when it was still legal in the format. Making 100 dudes meant you could still lose to your opponent having enough blockers. But if you tried making more than 100, you'd run out of time clicking through the menus. For the same reason, Doomsday combo decks are more popular online than in paper. Since you're on a separate clock than your opponent, you can actually take the 5 minutes to think about your turn. On paper, that'd be considered deliberate stalling. If you aren't positively sure, creating the wrong Doomsday pile can accidentally make you lose that same turn.

I've learned "This deck is absurd." Usually means he thinks it'll be a clean sweep. "This deck is busted" means he might lose a game he'll probably 3-0 the matches. "This deck has some busted cards" I hope these 5-10 good cards and i can carry this pile to a positive record.

I think it is much better in today's cube. Creatures are much bigger threats than they used to be and there are a lot of busted ETB effects you can abuse.

I think you have to reevaluate Lion Sash. It often outperformed on caleb gannons vintage cube videos. Seriously this thing has won many games on it's own and you don't even mention it when it's in a pack. It looks like a colour shifted scavenging ooze, but it's a lot stronger. also the pairing with white is really strong in an aggressive archetype.

Funny those last 2 decks looked so much better than this one. It just feels like it was bad Beata before. He was getting comboed out while he was playing mid range. This tempo deck was a good meta call. Mana Vault is also something the other decks would've killed for. But LSV drew it like once I think.

The whole team draft format doesn't translate well to video format. We just watch one person playing and then hear about how other people are doing. I suggest for a 6 person draft, playing 5 matches each and then the person with most victories wins the whole draft. Every player of the draft would face each other and we wouldn't have videos where you don't even get to play game 3 because everybody on your team when 0-2. Only problem I see is that 5 matches is a lot of games to play, but it could be an interesting way to play.
