As an Arsenal fan I agree that we have had a rather woeful European history, but the PSG game and even the draw against Atalanta gave me some belief when it comes to the CL. There's no denying we're a great team but aside from the 2006 run to the final (which I would totally do all over again btw, even if it meant coming up short) our European performance has always had a naivety to it. I don't think we're fully "fixed" in terms of our European away days, but it's definitely a noticeable improvement on how we tried to handle CL games at this point last year. Maybe our players that have never played in the CL before (which was a lot of them) needed that season to get used to the feel?

PSG weren’t very poor, they’re just not as good without Mbappe but they control the game and have good players on the ball. Arsenal gave a solid defensive performance and had chances to score a few more Martinelli should have had a brace. Will need to see how they perform against Inter to determine if they will be a force in Europe.

It's is because they are so good right now for you not to talk about them, the only side that are doing better than arsenal at the moment are, Bayern and city and maybe Liverpool, and it's not by much and everyone knows it's a matter of time, if arsenal can keep this set of players together for 5 or more seasons and not like what Wenger did with the invincibles team dismantling it piece by piece, if Arteta keeps them together for a long time, I see arsenal winning the champions league and the league, am confident that they are winning it in 5 or 6 season if he doesn't dismantle it, imagine a young team with only few players in the team with champions league experience, and just coming back to the competition after a long absence from it, getting to the quarter final and narrowly missing out of the semis. If anyone knows football, you would know, a great is never built in a day, the current great city team everyone is saying, it is the best, was not built 2 or 3 seasons ago, even the current Madrid team was not built 3 seasons ago. It took pep how many years before he could win the champions league, even with a solid city side, pep didn't win the league in his first season, so people who are talking about arsenal all the time, knows what they are saying, it's like a warning to arsenal's rival or the team they support, like see this is what arsenal is doing watch out for them, because this arsenal team keeps improving every season, and it might get to a point when they start dominating everything like the messi, iniesta barca that everyone was so scared to face. The stat are there and they are becoming scary, 6 set pieces in 9 games, that is just like a guaranteed handicap already going into a match, because there is no how you won't concede a set piece. And that's not the only stat that is getting scary, 17 clean sheet in 32, which simply means half the league games is already a sure win for them before the game kicks off, them the remaining 19 they can draw 12 with the set piece goals or even win it, which is left with 7 matches that is undecided, and this are matches like city, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, and utd, we could add Aston Villa and spurs to it, so when people say arsenal are title contenders it's not a joke, and it is not a joke they missed out on the title 2 seasons in a row by narrow margin, Arteta is building something serious here, and everyone is seeing it, and knows the team haven't reach their peak, unlike city, Madrid that have hit their peak, the arsenal team is still growing, and it is scaring them, and rattling all their rivals, and they all coming to call it dark art, when title winning managers like mourinho and Ferguson did they same, no one frowned at it, because it didn't rattle them like this, those teams were already at their peak and everyone was just watching the finish product, but unlike the current arsenal they keep growing every season and knows what they would grow to become, they don't want a dominant team to grow out of the current team and do the things psg and bayern have done in their leagues, and that's is what is scaring rivals, they are seeing arsenal moving in that trajectory and they don't want it, why team are not so scared of peps city anymore, is because they know that peak is coming to an end soon, with kdb, Gundogan, Silva and some few players already in the prime and soon won't be the best they could be, unlike arsenal whole could still play on this level 7 or more seasons and a chance of getting better at what they do, it is scaring them, and you all have a genuine reason to be, because this arsenal team is not going to fade away anytime soon, they would be there at the top for a long time.
