Think the big flaw in the Pokémon gyms in scarlet and violet was the way the unorthodox ace Pokémon for the leader just terastilised into the expected type so you could just sweep it as easy as the rest of the Pokémon. It would have been more fun/challenging if they had a Pokémon of their initial gym type terastilise into another type

Except for Iono, whose Tera Electric Mismagius having no weaknesses and an immunity to Electric's only weakness is a great decision by the developers. Her issue is that you can easily PP stall it though, so they should have given it a third attacking move such as Magical Leaf.

21:36 Swift is a special move, so it wouldn't do any more damage even after the defense drop from Screech. The switch to Gengar was still optimal anyway though.

I beat scarlet, mostly using my starter (fire) and the (former) Titans, mostly beating the titans 1st (except did the 1st two gyms) after finishing titans, gym, then team star. it's kinda tough to do but I didn't worry about level, they were about lvl 60 in area zero (didn't use them for dlc since they were all lvl 100, and I had a team of shinnies by then and my starter it pretty much never left my team, except for trading since didn't want to accidentally trade it )

@@MortyChallenges doing the Ash run in Scarlet actually allows you to get a Gligar and evolve it into Gliscor (instead of getting Aipom, whos position on the team at the same time as Buizel is kinda questionable from the technical point, because Ash traded Aipom away for Buizel)

Should have done the following during Gym Battles, since it's following Ash's system and he had done these multiple times in the Anime. - Use Grass-type in a battle in Bug Gym - Use Water-type in a battle in Grass Gym

Technically sewaddle is grass/bug v bug gym (cant remember anything else, unless back in johto v bugsy) Oshawatt v pansage comes to mind

@@davidbowerman3089 Yeah, against Bugsy, Ash used Chikorita. And against Burgh, he used Sewaddle/Swadloon. But it isn't like, just because it's a Bug/Grass, it's resistant to Bug moves. No, it is still weak to them. Plus, Ash put his Sewaddle/Swadloon against a Bug/Rock, Bug/Poison and finally Bug/Grass types. As for Water type in a Grass Gym, other than using Oshawott against Pansage, Ash had used Frogadier against Ramos.

@@Sup_D i dont see the problem with the sewaddle/swadloon v leavanny due to the fact they have same typing and yes super effective against each other.. I agree like snivy v bugs and chikorita v bugsy same with water v grass battles.. but all comes down to coverage moves and speed stats and priority moves (especially if we are talking about a VG)

@@davidbowerman3089 Well, it would have been super-effective against each other, if Ash's Swadloon had either a Neutral or Super-effective move to use against Leavanny. The only damaging moves it had were Razor Leaf & Energy Ball.

Gliscor is a scarlet exclusive and I don’t know about corphish I think he forgot about him since there are so many Pokémon in scarlet and violet and alot of Pokémon that ash owned in the anime there must have been To many for him to keep track of! That’s my understanding.
