People don't talk about the Neon sprint enough, when they buffed her they TRIPLED its regen from 1 minute to 20 seconds for a full recharge. A lot of the issue isn't even with the slide, it's just she has permanent movement PLUS a slide. For a nerf I would like to see the regen rate go up to maybe 30-40 seconds, and a cooldown after she stops sprinting (like how you can't just spam viper smokes up and down) so that her movement is in bursts instead of the whole round. You can still have the crazy entries and sliding on people, but just not 3 times in a row.

The main thing this would nerf is rotation time. Other than rotating, most people only use her sprint in small bursts so the recharge time would be, for the most part, an insignificant nerf for her current state. It wouldn’t hurt but it wouldn’t come even close to fixing the current problem. Adding a time where you can’t activate the sprint after deactivating would be interesting and maybe fix some of the issue but it again wouldn’t be enough on its own. Truly the main problem is her accuracy while sliding. Even pros have trouble tracking that. Half the time they get one shot during the slide. The other half of the time they get one shot at the end of the neons slide. There just isn’t a lot of counter play to it other than “just hit your shot” which is an inconsistent answer so a very consistent problem

@@Bigryguy95-epic If the main problem is sliding accuracy then why wasn't she used before the buff? She was still mostly accurate before, that change was actually pretty small. The slide was already good, but the second charge and tripled sprint regen allows her to use it way more, that's why she's good now. Reverting the buff would just kill her again, that's why I think they should limit the usage of the sprint and slide in other ways. Adding a cooldown to the sprint would make it more of a commitment, once you activate it you either go now or wait 10-15 seconds for another shot, the other team could also punish you for it. It would also stop people using it in small bursts like you said, making the regen matter more. I would also like to see a wind up at the start of a sprint before you can slide, like priming a Jett dash, with an audio cue that enemies can hear. It would be a lot closer to Jett and Raze in that you can use it to get in OR out, whereas now she can do both twice in 10 seconds. And about counters, most of the time you can play against her like a phoenix flash, good positioning is mostly all you need, people just don't realise it because it's not actually a flash. If you watch a lot of the clips of crazy slide 1 taps you'll see a Phoenix could do the same job, except obviously neon can do it way more often like I already said.

@ there is a HUGE difference between “mostly accurate” and “100% accurate” in pro play when youre talking about headshots with vandals and bullet spread of shot guns. Huge difference. And neon did have a decent amount of play actually. Just not on every team because a lot of duelists didn’t know neon so they didn’t bother to start learning it when raze and Jett were equally as good. Now she’s just better than them so they are learning her

A vandal has 0.25 degrees of spread by default, the old slide would bring that up to 0.4, the same as a classic. It does make a difference, but it's hardly enough to make an agent broken, she would still be meta if they reverted the accuracy. I think the main part of the buff where they doubled the amount of slides and tripled the sprint regen is more important.

Im happy that Zyppan gets to stay in T1 to show his potential even if its on a shitty team.. i think hes a pretty underrated player who has improved every year. I dont think he should be a main duelist on a top roster, but being able to flex to the raze or secondary duelist while also being a great initiator is a good skillset to have imo. Navi was a dumpster fire after they fired d00mbr0s but early on I thought zyppan was 1 of the highlights when they were doing well. As much as i loved Suy leading up to their coppenhagen win hes just fallen off since then, and drastically this past season even when they were doing well he looked like 1 of their weaker players along with ardiis. Again love ardiis, think hes genuinely hilarious as well but he also took a step back from 2022. Seems like Navi is just sleeping in the off season again tho, been radio silence from them since the off season officially started
