My cousin and I started mtb last year and have since been here 4 times. Green only the first time and this last go we hit our first black diamond, such a fun park!

looks fun. to hit those berms better make sure youre looking into the turn and not at the front wheel. I used to do look at my wheel instead of looking ahead into the turn and it made it so hard to corner. your head should turn before your bike does. it helps so much. it looked like that's what was stopping you from hitting those turns smooth because it looked just like how i used to hit berms. it also helps to lean back and into the turn and get your weight further back on the bike. try it out next time and keep shredding.

I definitely kept looking at the front wheel a lot. 😂 Thank you for watching and tips. I'll be putting the effort into looking ahead of the turn in my next ride. 🫱🏻🫲🏼

Someone suggested I go here but I’m real new to riding I might wait a while before I take the trip.

I’m no pro but lemme give ya a rundown… We rented bikes there. This was over a year ago so they might have different bikes. We rented their Rocky Mountains which were solid. The Dirt is way more grippy than any Utah or Montana riding. Way way softer than all those other places. It takes roughly 15-25 minutes to get down. Which really isn’t that much after going to a trip at Deer Valley, Utah and Big Sky Montana. During our visit, we didn’t have running water and when they found out about that they gave us a free night. (Though we didn’t ask.) I’d say build your skills and go for it. You can bypass anything and it is very beginner friendly. My trip to big sky Montana really made me realize how intermediate I am. Spider mountain is a blast and the dirt is way better. Big sky has some of the best trails in the world and I was just trying not to die.

I agree with you! When went we definitely didn’t have no skills and only been riding for weeks, but decided to take the trip. We still had a blast and we’ll definitely go back soon. The staff at Spider were great.

Definitely make the trip. We had a great time with no skills and to us was worth the trip. We’ll be going back soon. Happy riding and thank you for watching.

My son wrecked in that exact spot the first time we went. Its a lot of fun once you figure it out. Also the berms get pretty rough towards the end of summer.

Trick with berms like that is to look through the turn towards the exit, even turn your shoulders that way. The bike will follow. Try it next time you'll see it's like a cheat code 😂😂

@@pvreelz hell yeah man no problem. Spider is not necessarily my favorite bike park I've ever ridden but it's by far my favorite place to vacation. Stay in a cabin by the lake, shred trails all day, then go drink beer and grill some food. Absolutely wonderful. I'm there at least once a year so maybe I'll catch you out there sometime! I did a 3 part series on a trip out there a few years ago it's on my other youtube account @gzlikesbikes

This is exactly what im afraid of when going to a bike park, looking like a tourist. Makes me want to hit trails with normal bikes before using the e-bike, make sure i understand the trail before using assists.

We have been riding for about a month before this trip, and we’re definitely noobs, and I can tell you this. We had those same concerns. But I'll say this…the staff at Spider nor other riders made us feel like we were being a tourist 😂 or an inconvenience. Everyone was pretty cool and checked on each other as people came down banged up. They’re all types of riders just out having a good time in these types of parks. In the end, You Only Die Once 😂 Thank you for watching. 🤝
