Thank you again for the great content Dr. L. Could the issue of source of B6 play a role too? Many supplements have inactive form which is pyridoxine not the active one (pyridoxal-5-phospate). And I read that B6 pyridoxine can lead to B6 toxicity..

Thank you. PLP is dephosphorylated before its absorption. As a replacement method, PLP is not necessarily superior. B6 is easily available in food sources. Supplementation is very rarely needed.

One thing sadly lacking from this presentation is what forms of the named B Vitamins were entailed in each of the studies, as well as a laying forth of what are the benefits & known or possible downsides of each. For example, there is the B12 form called cyanocobalamin & it is not only inferior to methylcobalamin by being synthetic, but cyanocobalamin is comprised of cyanide & implicated in bad outcomes from taking it, & yet it is what many food manufacturers & the pharmacuetical industry's majority of entities gravitate towards for ingredient in their products. The type of B Vitamins must be a part of the examinations & discussions, for sure.

Thank you for your comment. The most common form of over the counter vitamin B12 supplement is cyanocobalamin. I have not seen any RCTs comparing health effects of different forms of B12. If you know any, please share.

Hi, @@Dr.WenliLiu, & you are welcome. And thank you again for your video on which I commented. It is just that the information lacked any mention of the different forms of Vitamin B12, but you acknowledge this now, I think, & I suppose I will also say the lack of mention was somewhat occasioned by the lack of mention & differentiation in the conducted researches which you cited. That is odd & tremendously unfortunate that the researchers failed to mention & make the necessary remarks of distinguishing one from the other, wouldn't you agree? I wonder how they managed to let that happen. Well, as you may gather from my further answer, no, I myself am not aware of any studies that have been conducted wherein it is one Vitamin B12 form implicated in the matter of having a connection to cancer occurring in a user of it rather than the other form being implicated, but, & I am being redundant, I think it is extremely negligent of those who did do research to not have indicated which form was or which forms were implicated. If ever I come across studies that take these things into consideration, I will do my best to revisit here to let you know, though. In the meantime, you probably can check out, say, Dr. Eric Berg's channel, for I know he has before spoken about the two forms I mentioned, & he may very well have mentioned whatever studies he cited to make his remarks. By the way, as I noted in my initial post, yes, indeed, I know cyanocobalamin is indeed unfortunately the form of choice for making most food products & pharmacuetical products wherein vitamins are added, & Vitamin B12 is indicated as being in. Anyway, all the best, & thanks again for your reply. Be blessed.
