Perhaps one is wise to always be sure to begin prayer with "O Heavenly King" and Trisagion Prayers. Actually, my comment is directed to myself - I have only recently been consistent in starting my prayer with "O Heavenly King" and Trisagion prayers. Previously, I would sometimes say them, sometimes not. I think, Fr. Seraphim, what you say in this video is one reason why the "O Heavenly King" and Trisagion Prayers are important.

Is the Jesus Prayer safe for someone naive to the faith?
@djonskimu1148Күн бұрын
Talk to a priest about it first, in essence it is ok but there's also serious dangers, a youtube comment couldn't possibly tell you what's dangerous to you specifically

Also, I think warning people that "prayer is dangerous" does not seem a helpful teaching...if God is our protector, then the idea of someone trying to communicate, have a relationship with God, but could somehow be harmed in the very attempt, seems to me to indicate a lack of faith in a loving God.

What has Protestantism got to do with bad prayer?
@BehöldAGreenHorse21 сағат бұрын
Unfortunately he's lumping all protestant/evangelical denominations together, like most orthodox guy's I've heard. To them, they see the West with the shadow of the false frauds, fake churches, cult factions, etc. (Prosperity gospel, megachurches, "say a prayer and you're going to heaven " without repentance, the "antinomian" insanity. And the circus show especially of Baptist factions with no church discipline or structure, etc) Lot of those either fake, or if they are genuine born again Christians, but still shallow, do have a danger in that there's an attitude of arrogance or self entitlement, self centered approach to prayer. Or constantly praying for things, what they want, instead of praying to commune with God, they practically see God as Santa Claus. Such prayers aren't met with God's favor, and can lead to demonic voices engaging instead. Or even worse, you know those fake pastors that blaspheme the Holy Spirit 20 times in a sentence. An absolutely disgusting endangerment of misleading naive into praying the same blasphemous ways. I wish they'd stop judging the whole of "protestantism" according to what the fraudulent heretics have done,and see there are many who still practice holiness , repentance, prayer for communion with God, importance of the church, etc.

This "monk" was already harmed. May be mistaken. Signs of damage on this and on previous video where he also doodles. Beware of unintentional harm that such monks may bring my dear ones. May be mistaken

what do you mean exactly?

Creation is "nothingness"? That sounds like a Buddhist teaching.
@Sarfatti33310 сағат бұрын
I think Father Aldea is equating praying to God's creation (as opposed to praying to the Lord himself) to praying to nothingness.
