Thanks, Mike! I'd love to see someone bring quality in this area to the market. There is so much potential here but with licensing fees and such, it is a tough area to get in to. Hopefully someone can crack the code and create something worth the money these guys are charging.

I'd love for somebody to come out with one that has interchangeable controls and the ability to buy other game packs. I've got, and love, my Simpson's arcade1up cabinet, but even at 3/4 scale, it still does take up a fair amount of space, and not necessarily that much less space than a full cabinet as the controls extend to the sides.

I think whoever wants to break into 3/4+ they need to bring a new, as close to accurate arcade cabinet (No Golden Tee, Pac-Man, or just other Arcade 1Up reproduction thats been beat into the ground etc).

My expectations are low thanks to 1Up this past few years, but my hopes are sky high. All I’ve ever wished for since 1Up started 5+ years ago is that some company just create accurate 3/4 scale arcade cabinets with just the single marquee titles. I don’t care for the multicade form factor, back when I was a kid in the 80’s walking into my local arcade, they were single game cabs not multicades. If they can create an accurate Centipede then I’m all in. Maybe they can be the heroes and be the company to finally give us Qbert and Robotron and so on. My fingers are definitely crossed! 🙏🏼

It surprises me nobody competes with A1up as A1up screws up and releases things nobody wants. If a company releases something such as q bert or robotron thats already a slam dunk and then ensure more quality such as waterfall decks and decks that arent messy from multicade designs. Put these in a XL that are actually scaled properly unlike A1up and there is some competition. Hell i’d spend extra for a working coin door, they could even put fake coin doors that look like the original ones which a1up fails to do with their stereotypical designs

Quarterless competes with Arcade 1up. But they are more like counterparts and cocktail arcades only and are way more expensive.

I love the OG 1981 Atari Centipede. My fav arcade cab since a kid in 1983 when I saw my 1st. I almost bought the 1st arcade 1up version. I also did buy the new wave version. I saw the arcade 1up was now priced at $650 in your video. I have been into MAME since 2000. So I finally decided to buy a real centipede cab. Paid $600 for a non-working one. I sold the broke monitor and untested board, and used the cash to buy a Dell 19" 5:4 LCD. Fits perfectly. And a Refurb Acer slim winPC. And an I-Pac keyboard emulator. I am all in for about $600, and it's a real cab. And I can run it 24/7 unlike a CRT. The huge advantage of the arcade 1up, is the size and weight. The real cabs are beasts, and you need a truck. So I totally understand the form factor and weight advantage. It would be nice if a company would make a dedicated Centipede. Correct vert IPS screen. And a size and hight that would come closer to the OG. But with a detachable base that would integrate better into the look and design. But keeping the wight in check, for easy transport. Maybe the new guys can pull it off.

Man…if Arcade1Up re-released the newer Centipede, I’d buy it instantly. Bad screen and all. They nailed the look. If this new company releases it, they have my money but need it in 3/4 to match all of my other cabs. Trying to save XL for unique cabs like driving and shooting games.

I started collecting the basic fun mini arcade cabs until arcade1up appeared and I sold all the little cabs and bought my first arcade1up galaga/galaxian. Now basic fun might be back in the game.....I made a complete circle..lol

I was interested in the golden tee control deck. But it was only available as a bundle with the mini machine which I simply had no interest in as I don't see it being playable enough. If the control deck could have been purchased on it's own, I definitely would have gotten one.

Love everything said here, MB... too many companies and personalities (some of whom aren't A1U fans) have been talking and talking for months or longer, with nothing to show for it except products nobody asked for. It'd be great to see another company hit this space out of nowhere and deliver something we've all been wanting.

@@TheJoejoez Maybe but we already had an Arcade1up 3/4, Partycade and New Wave Toys Centipede. Also I think there's more entertaining Arcade games than Centipede. I'd rather have Marble Madness over Centipede too.

To be fair, centipede needs to come back but with a vertical screen. The other Atari arcades don't do it justice. Honestly Centipede needs to be on more arcades simliar to Galaga.
