As a Broncos fan, the thing he needs to work on most is the footwork. He likes to bounce and move TOO much in the pocket, which means he doesnt have a solid base most of the time. Now, hes pretty athletic and SUPER accurate, so he still completes a lot in spite of his fancy feet. But I think Sean will coach him up in that regard, hes already absorbed so much so fast. Hes looking damn good overall.

Hey...here is something nobody is talking about regarding Bo Nix. The guy is a dawg lol he's a winner and a leader. I watching him eek out a win against a nasty Utah defense in 2022 on a jacked up ankle...24-28 degrees at kickoff. He was limpin around most of the fourth quarter...and goes out and wins the game. Played the last few games of the season on that bum ankle. I duno how his career will go but, I will not be shocked if he is a rookie of the year candidate if not an eventual pro-bowler.
@artistnyc123
@artistnyc123 28 күн бұрын
That is not a quality to be taken lightly. As a bronco fan I watched Tebow literally will the team back in the fourth quarter time after time. Even here in Miami the sports bar would suddenly start gathering around the Broncos game just to watch T pull out another miracle. And he wasn't a very talented quarterback but just that winning attitude goes a long way.

I like how people keep saying it's just the preseason and he's playing against vanilla defenses. To me, I don't care if it's vanilla or hall of fame defenses, it's the fact that he's progressively getting better each game and he's making the right read and putting the ball where it needs to go. Of course he'll make rookie mistakes, but according to his teammates and coaches, Bo's the type of guy to learn quickly from them and not repeat them. To me, I think he's the real deal.

I'd feel ashamed if I called Bo Nix a round 2 graded prospect and parroted other people's take on him without doing my own due diligence in tape study. Anyone that honestly watched a good amount of Bo Nix tape from Oregon will tell you he has what it takes to be a franchise QB in the NFL. He's as well-rounded as they come, has the quick mental processing and reflexes needed at that level, and has a good sized frame and athleticism. It's wild that so many boneheads thought he had no business going in the top-10. He had the cleanest tape of any QB besides maybe Jayden Daniels if going off of last season in college. Penix being close behind. Caleb's and Drake's and JJ's tape was not close to as good (JJ mainly because he wasn't asked to do much).

Bo is legit. I truly do not know how anyone doubted it. The doubts mostly came from the type of offense he was in at Oregon as opposed to his physical tools. The guy absolutely can throw the deep ball. He showed it at Oregon, and he surely has shown it in camp and in the pre-season. He may not have been asked to do it a lot, but he surely can. His release is ligtening quick, and he can drive the ball and do so accurately. At the end of the day, moving the sticks consistently is what matters. That is the end goal, and it really does not matter how you reach that end goal when you are doing it on every drive. That is what Nix does.

Who tf said “ I think it’s hard to be an NFL quarterback if you’re not somewhat accurate”?

Defense is looking good. To the point that Green Bay was using regular season formations to beat the Broncos.

@@gerbertron3226 doing check downs through the middle in a pre-season game can get your tight end hurt. Green Bay got beaten by a Superbowl Denver defense. Very stingy defense.

I think Bo did very well in preseason and showed promise in Week 1 against Seattle, but I remain eternally skeptical of my Broncos and their drafted QBs. Elway's love of Tall White QBs seems to have stuck around, I can only hope Bo will do better than the dozen of his type that came before.

I hate the "it's just preseason" argument. Yes, the coverages may be vanilla and "easier", but you still have to execute against them. I doubt a rookie QB has ever failed against vanilla defenses and then excelled against the real thing once the season started. It's a process and the preseason is part of that process. It's time to stop devaluing what someone does in the preseason just because its "preseason"

The Bronco's have been on an legit QB search since Manning and they have always either wanted a ready made miracle they could simply trade for or a Elway in waiting. Lets see if they actually develop the kid. My guess is all this good will is going to fade when the starters from each team's defense picks him apart.

He's got the stats, but I'm not aware of any "wow" moments in college like with Mahomes vs OU. Probably will turn out to be just another system-dependent qb. Watson was the only one that seemed to be anywhere close to Mahomes' lvl and look how that turned out so far.
