Fun thing about Bruno is his specialty seems almost based around the fighting type in the TCG, which includes ground and rock types.

@@chooseastarter All the Kanto E4 could seen that way as at one time or another all their Pokemon shared a type in the TCG. Of course it is is just to patch up lack of type variety in the earlier generations, but it is a neat coincidence.

No, I think Hitmonlee is not a good choice, because of Machamp, they fulfill the same role. I think the mistake was, that Hitmonchan wasn't trained on EVs, because I never did that in the earlier runs. If he had max Special Attack, he would at least put the Gyarados into the range for defeat. Hitmonchan got so much better the next Gen, it's not even funny.

Yeah, they are terrible in Gen 3, or at least Hitmonchan is. But thankfully it worked out in the end, haha

Bruno did that, that was probably really hard to route out. But it was nice to see Hitmonchan's 35 base special attack in action again, I guess that hitmontop or hitmonlee could work better then it did. 😊 But I'm glad that it wss even possible, poliwrath was carrying out the team along side golem. 🤔 That was fun maybe you should do a lance's gen 1 team in gen 4 in a hardcore nuzlocke, that could be really fun.

I just wanted to use Bruno's normal team at first, but I don't think it would've been possible for me. And yes, Poliwrath was just insanely good! Golem was really nice, since I always wanted to use one And of course, you know it way better than me, but Hitmonchan is just ... not so good before Gen 4. Speaking of Gen 4, in fact I have Lance in Gen 4 planned, HG to be more specific, but not as the next video for now. Maybe the one after that.

Thank you for the recommendation! I will put it on the list, but it won't be the next run Agatha has the issue, that she herself can't finish the game, because she is not able to use Surf on any of her Pokémon. But I think about it, on how I could make a run with her team!

@@chooseastarter not sure if you’re willing to use her Colosseum team or if that would break the rules too much but she does have a Venesaur and Gyrados on that team opening up cut and surf that way they don’t go too much with her normal team but it is an option

I think I'll do the run with the team from LGPE and use Cut/Surf from another source, just to continue on, but not inside battle. Using Venusaur would basically cut out the Agatha part until Pokémon Tower(tbf I would have Ekans and Zubat at that point, and that would mean the run is possible without changing the starter) But I think Gengar is such an integral part of Agatha's identity, that she should start with Gastly. Also the battle against Brock and Misty is a bit more fun that way, I think. It won't be the next run, but I'll do it in the future. Thanks again!

Thanks for the comment!👌 I honestly don't know in which situation I needed Rock Slide, probably against Pidgeots, but I guess that at the time of doing the run, I didn't know that the Rock Slide Move Tutor is in Rock Tunnel. 😅 But thanks for getting the Move Tutor back on my radar! I rarely or never use Move Tutors besides Mega Kick/Punch, haha 🤣
