I know how Bryson feels, two years ago i had a mini stroke, wiped my muscle memory. Had to learn to walk again, and of course my golf swing didn’t exist. So i had to rebuild my neural pathways and learn to play golf. My teacher knew me as a plus handicap golfer, so i had the knowledge but no swing. Two years of practice and i am 10.1 handicap, problem is my strength isn’t great, so lots of stretching, weights and speed work, still striving for distance. Sean Foley says easiest way to groove a new swing is to have a stroke, be assured it’s not easy. But hey, i am playing the game we love, many don’t get another chance.
@ajhd95Ай бұрын
I broke my back in 2015, had to do much the same as you, learn to walk together. Lost a lot of fitness, used to be huge into my boxing etc but with the sciatica it was evident the first time I tried sparring again that I had lost a step. Can't explain how infuriating it is when you know exactly what it is you want to do, how to move with technique and timing etc. Yet your body just not able to respond! I'm sure you can appreciate that. Took up golf this year when the physio cleared it (back got a lot worse after the accident had to give up sports for a while) so I never really had a swing to begin with, but man I absolutely love this game. Just being able to be outside, beautiful nature spot and swing my clubs, hit some balls on the range. If I get out for a round it's a bonus but like you, I still need to get my fitness up. That's the only thing holding me back at the moment really. Swinging a club is fantastic at getting the CSF fluid moving, but being bent over really engages muscles I have neglected for years. Shame to hear about your stroke mate, not trying to claim mine is worse by any stretch it just called some similarities into my mind. Really hope you're feeling better and you get to carry on with golf and living life for years to come. Big love.
@Pud56Ай бұрын

Would love to see “Fan Challenges”. Pick random subscribers who comment and go beat them on their course. The videos would definitely be interesting and the courses challenging. Not like all those pretty well manicured flat courses in Texas. Here where I live courses are all on the side of a hill. Give the fan (guy or gal) one shot per hole. If they win by chance, you buy them a new golf club and they get a T-shirt saying they beat you and your nine hole fan challenge. If you win, which is likely scenario. They have to shave their head or clean your clubs. They get a T-shirt that says Bryson Dechambeau whooped me in the nine hole fan challenge. Anyhow, I think would make great content. Love the channel and rock on 🤘😎
