Can BUDGET Decks Actually WIN? | Disney Lorcana TCG

We all know Disney Lorcana isn't cheap to start playing. It can cost a lot of money to build some of the top tier decks or meta decks, unfortunately pricing people out of the game. That's why I wanted to test if I could build a deck for less than $100 and actually win games against someone with a constructed deck, no price limit. Will we succeed in the best of three?

Went to a local league play this past weekend and this kid was running an aggro heavy amethyst/Amber with basically most cards in the starter deck and he was cleaning house. Aggro is very strong rn, the only thing that could made the deck even better would be Stitch Rockstar for card draw

Thanks for posting this! After you’ve got the starter budget decks done, you should try mixing and matching to see what other combinations might work. That would be especially helpful for families with at least 2 different starters.

Really cool seeing cheap vs expensive would be a cool series for counters to meta decks. Especially when people are playing dollar store versions of meta decks

In terms of cards per dollars yeah packs are bad but the starter decks do create a good base. Great video on making adjustments to tho on a budget for people like me that want to have fun but not throw around money. I've only been able to get the Ruby Emerald deck so far which is decent, but really want to build something with amethyst so hopefully with the restock next month I can get the other 2 starter decks. Only way I can get packs is my local league, but while I'm there I've been buying singles here and there to start to fill out the deck

Awesome video scarily balanced deck I just finally after all this time downloaded all needed to play online and won the first game I have ever played using the deck from this video not only is it cheap to build physically but also seems very beginner friendly thanks so much can’t wait for the rest of the videos

I like the idea behind the video, but let's be honest, this Amber/Ruby deck is nowhere near meta. I don't know if its deck had too much uninkable or if he was simply unlucky but I don't think this game was representative.

I know 0 about this game or the cards in it, but in a game that JUST released with only one set so far, wouldn't the meta be just the best cards all together and you win 90% oh the time?

they did a pretty good job. there are 4 - 5 really strong meta decks at least and some room for decks to predict and counter the meta. For each color though you usually see similar cards because they are just "better" and are currently the strongest options but nothing so far is too overpowered so pretty much everything can get countered

You can only play with two ink colors, so you have to make sacrifices on what cards to run.

I love the idea for the video but your opponent was not playing a meta deck by any means. I am not even sure what that deck was to be fair lol

@@bsquared24 it's the usual TCg hype 1st set will be sold out and hype is generated 2nd set will be in high demand but 3rd set the hype is over and the players will stay (This happened with Pokémon (it was kinda dead over here in Germany after fossil only players did actually play, Yu-Gi-Oh also had its hype during DM Anime but kinda had a low point after that (new players getting in) when the first GX Sets came out the new kids wanted to play were fewer (also talking from German perspective since we didn't get LOD onwards and jumped straight to Ancient sanctuary, Final Fantasy (first and second set were sold out quickly and it was almost impossible to get cards, after that the "omg look got shiny cards" streamers and "I want money" guys went off and now the prices are totally ok aaaand Digimon tcg)

I am having trouble understanding why its cheaper to buy individual cards. Aren't the rarer cards expensive enough that I might as well dig in the boosters?

As expensive as they are, it's still cheaper to buy the singles. For instance, let's take the most expensive normal Lorcana card right now, Rapunzel Gifted With Healing. Rapunzel is being sold on the secondary market for about $60. With $60, I could buy 10 Lorcana booster packs at MSRP or about 4 booster packs at $15 a booster pack which is what they're being sold for at MSRP. Typically, in a booster box (24 booster packs) you can expect to get anywhere from 3-5 Legendary cards. That gives you anywhere from a 12.5-20.8% chance of opening a Legendary card in a booster pack, but that's also any random Legendary out of the 12 Legendary cards available. The chances of opening Rapunzel specifically is even lower because you have an 8.3% chance (or 1/12 chance) to get Rapunzel in that Legendary slot specifically. So, with the assumption that every Legendary has the same distribution rate, you have a 1.04-1.74% chance of finding a Rapunzel in any pack. Now, let's take that and spread it across 10-4 booster packs, which is how many you could get with $60, the price of simply buying Rapunzel outright. In 10 booster packs, you'd have a 10-17% chance of finding Rapunzel. In 4 booster packs, you have a 4.1-6.9% chance of finding Rapunzel. If you were ONLY looking for Rapunzel, it's much cheaper to buy the single card on the secondary market than it is to risk finding her with the money you could have used to buy the single card :)

I have 4 rockstar stiches that I want to put in this deck, should I also substitute some one drops to add the 1 drop stiches too? Or do I not need to worry about shifting?

Best boost IT get with more evasion Charakters. Flyn, Hans...and additional Cats. Run for Lore with nearly every Charakters. And also Charakters with Bounce and bane.

Every good card is expensive. I'll just wait for a reprint set. Disney didn't introduce this tcg very well. No demo events or pre release events here in PH.
