Coming from an M&K player on COD, I have never outwardly complained about aim assist until recently. The only problem that I see is the if I am spectating you and I can visibly see your aim assist basically lock on to somebody when you initially aim at someone than its a problem. If it was dialed back a little bit like it was in the past I would have 0 problem with it.

One of my favorite things with the game is that when you go onto a weapon you can view its stats. And i mean ALL stats, max range, damage fall off, Recoil pattern, etc. Its all IN THE GAME. not a 3rd party site or anything else. Also the attachments showing the direct percentage buff/debuff is wonderful too. just seeing "Reduces XYZ thing" with no direct numbers is such a drag. This game is a breath of fresh air.

This is just a theory, but I think the problem with implementing killcams in modern games is due to them being cross platform and dual input. Because killcams used to just be remakes based on what inputs the players had. I think it may be way harder to implement now that people play across multiple systems with different inputs so it may be much harder to track those things. idk tho just a theory

As someone who has played strictly keyboard and mouse for nearly their entire life, plugging in my controller for MW2 just to try it out was shocking. I was a literal 2 year old when it came to controlling my aim and I was frustrated... until an enemy popped up on my screen and my crosshair was on them and my crosshair was just fucking MAGNETIZED to their body. It was a very strange feeling and honestly kind of uncomfortable to see how with aim assist someone's aim can go from staring at the sky to lock on precision.

When I used to always place on console a couple years ago, I would always disable sim assist because I felt like it would slow my sim down right when I’m about to lock onto someone. Was a top titanfall 2 player with that setting off and one of the best early pathfinders in apex when it first came out back when nobody really knew about the catapult movement you could do.

3:42 the thing is Jev, is that not everyone is playing the same game. we are all in our own bracket of sbmm in cod. my experience on the game is not the same as everyone else. the ppl coping are most likely in the lower brackets where ppl do not have lazer aim. they probably never encounter gunfights where they just get deleted in less than the blink of an eye. i am a controller player and i have hit some insane flicks and turns that i have never hit in my life on cod. i have had the same thing happen to me as well where i cant even tell what is hacks and what is just aim assist

In regards to the communication you mentioned with XDefiant-it’s the main reason why Cyberpunk and No Man’s Sky aren’t dead in the water. The devs from CDPR and HG love their respective game and want people to actually play it and not abandon ship when it’s a buggy mess or when communication is awry. Having a responsive dev team is the key to that and CoD constantly backpedaling on false promises (or always having caveats to their game’s features as you put it yesterday) and straight up going radio silent each and every patch that comes out is exhausting and something I personally don’t want to deal with. I got Orion in S1 and that’s all they’re getting out of me.

I'm a M&K player. But the Aim-ASSIST is actually needed for controller !!! It just slows the sense down. It's the same thing we do with the mouse. This is not even a skill, it's instinctive. You can't do that with tiny little sticks. Why is this so hard to understand? It's like if say "Use the mouse but it's not allowed to slow down with your arm/hand. It's impossible to play like that. Aim assist is not a skill replacement... It's extremely important.
