@@FTW523. Yes, especially if you are a history buff. I like Bernard Cornwell's writing style and have about 40 of his books. He weaves his characters into actual historical events and eras. It can make you feel like you are there too.

Always loved 32:35 Captain Leroy bas alwahs been in my top favoeite characyers of this show. Being a Texas boy myself .. this scene is awesome becyase it shows what he values, in trying to help the young boy - he knows Sharpe does the right or "glorious" thing but he also is wise enoufh to know it's those kinds of men, right or wrong, that Death Follows, and he wants the boy to live. Love Leroy

Funny I was just listening to the Sharp's Honor audiobook at work this morning. It's the only series of Bernard Cornwell's books I haven't fully finished minus the Starbuck Chronicles. I think I have one left in that series. It's my least favorite of Cornwell's novels. Not that it's bad at all, it's a 8/10 for me but all his others I rate no lower than 9/10 or higher. The Warlord Chronicles, the Grail Quest and Saxon Stories being the top 3 best of the novel series of his imo. The solo book Stonehenge is up there in the top as well. Even the non fiction Waterloo is a great read for war buffs.

I like Sharpe and Harper getting all giddy and fan-boyish over the idea of getting the best of the best for their mission ... only to quickly realise they'll be handed the worst of the worst, with a crappy ass officer's staff to 'boot (the exception of Lennox and Leroy). It'll really set the tone of their careers, being given scraps by Wellington and told to achieve the impossible.

There is some “logic” to it. We still use it to a certain extent today. It’s just that they used blood letting for things that didn’t require blood letting. For example; Infection: draining the fluids = positive. Fever: draining the fluids = negative.
