Hi Neptune the Chameleon, thank you for the amazing contents about chameleon's. By any chance would you be able to do some how's and what's to do in raising a hatchling chameleon? With feeding, misting, ect. Thank you so much again and stay safe out there. Much love for all chameleon's.😀😁👍

You can't really guarantee they will eat it head first when it is in a cup. Kinda just have to hope for the best at that point. The twisted branch is a piece of drift wood.

@NeptunetheChameleon4 жыл бұрын
Fixing Dolls Congrats! I’d avoid handling him often especially if you just got him. Chameleons do best being left alone. If they want to come out all the time, there may be something wrong with their enclosure. 10 crickets a day should be enough, just remember to gutload and supplement them. I’d also try adding in different types of bugs besides just crickets.

They won't get sick from them. Hornworms are usually too big for babies and are a choking hazard. Make sure the worms are not thicker than the width between your cham's eyes.

Different topic, I bought a Cham and she is slightly sassy but she getting used to my presence and knows the routine for food. But she will not go on my hand or eat off my tongs or my hand even waiting for 10+mins and that was first food. After I put her in cage along with food, not a minute she's eating. Tips?
@NeptunetheChameleon4 жыл бұрын
Chameleons are shy eaters and it's SUPER common for them to not want to eat from you or in front of you. It took 5 months of patiently working with Neptune to get him to eat from me. I wouldn't worry about it too much. As long as she's eating, she's okay. You have to build a certain level of trust before a chameleon will eat from you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXKXc4mObduCpKs

Eyes closed is a sign of a stressed/sick chameleon. I would make sure she has the proper lights (kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4O5m5qXgdiKpJo) and supplements (kzbin.info/www/bejne/pH2yf3aNbtmGhqM) ASAP. I used to breed them for my chameleons and it is a huge ordeal. Getting them to pupate is relatively simple but the problems start once they hatched. Too many males and they will relentlessly pursue the females to the point of death. I had to sex them in the pupae stage so when they hatched there would be more females than males. The moths eat hummingbird nectar which causes them to spray liquid feces all over the place. Then there’s the tedious task of collecting thousands of tiny green eggs about the size of a grain of salt. Also they eat so much that purchasing commercial hornworm food wasn’t a viable option so I had to make my own which was another huge ordeal. Long story short, I now buy my hornworms online.

Yikeeeeeessss. Yeah I think I'll stick to buying my hornworms online 😅
