I have been told cancer loves sugar and alcohol.An alkaline diet and fasting is ideal. I am sticking to the latter.I ate a lot of cruciferous vegetable. I also try to eat a lot of bitter gourd and gully beans.I felt good when I consume these food.

I dont know if u can access podcasts in UK by Dr Robert Lustig, Dr Rick Johnson , Dr. Mark Hyman but they can give you more info on the need to decrease the intake of added sugars to remain metabolically healthy. Since the guest said it is hard for people in UK to access a nutritional professional I suggest buying the book C Good Energy by Dr Casey Means. It gives general directions on how to stay metabolically healthy by monitoring your fasting blood sugar and fasting blood insulin levels. Insulin levels will rise 10 years before you become diabetic. If necessary pay out of pocket and have it done privately . Dr. Oriorden has been admirably honest about how hopefully in the past she had cereal for breakfast and toast for lunch. I ll be frank , this diet is grossly nutritionally deficient no matter what she had for dinner. And it's too high I n carbs. If you for followingthe 80/20 rule she recommends ,which essentially means every 5th day eat what you want .She mentions wine and chocolate cookies as an example. If you are eating/🍷 ng significant junk food every 5days I strongly recommend checking to see if you are staying metabolically healthy on this diet. Dr Means gives optimal levels of what your biomarkers should be. Also be aware that packaged ultraprocessed foods are formulated to be addictive, meaning g you may find it very difficult to abstain from them on your so called health days. Best Wishes

I'm surprised that a nutritionist would not suggest Organic food. If not Organic, then one would be ingesting harmful chemicals that negatively affects the immune system.

Everything in moderation? That was the best advice I got and avoid grapefruit but my cancer is hormonal based so that’s just right for me. You’re right about lack of nutritionists. Thank you for sharing very interesting.

Dear Dr I watch your channel in France and appreciate your doing the research. I was unable to find stats on BMD loss. Some studies suggest that it is worse the first year on AI others don't. I am 68 and taking letrozole. the 2 year test showed that I am on the verge of osteopenia I wonder where it can fall down the next 3 years. I enrolled in a kettle bells club despite the fact that I couldn't find a trial on weightlifting and AI induced BMD loss. Sorry for the clumsy language and thank you for everything you do.

What about cruciferous vegetables. They affect me badly with my hypothyroidism. Believe me I love these vegetables , but my thyroid just reacts to them EVEN when cooked to death.

Can you please talk about cancer is a metabolic disease (Thomas Seyfried) cancer fuels on fermentation (glucose &glutamine) patients and survivors must strive to be in a glucose keotone index of 1 ...also know as Therapeutic ketosis. If we are eating fruit we have to be careful on the insulin response..basically glucose in body needs to be stable for Therapeutic ketosis where most cancers can not fuel from

It will help you feel good, that's important, but it won't change things. Cancer is horrible, but what you eat, dont cause it or cure it, food is meant to be enjoyed, don't stop enjoying things beleaving it will change. But stay away from fast food it will make you sick in so many ways
@lindajones4849Ай бұрын
8:30 Agree stay away from fast food, also stay away from ULTRAPROCESSED food ( high in added sugars, deficient in fiber) . American Heart Association recommend keeping added sugars to a maximum of 25 grams ( 6 teaspoons) for an adult woman. Generally the higher your intake of ultraprocessed food the higher the risk of death from all causes ( population based data). Look at the nutritional info for added sugars on( the packaging of ) ultraprocessed foods. Sodas and fruit juices are liquid sugar and not good for anyone.

What's your counterargument to the metabolic model of cancer? You both seem to agree that there are at least hundreds of different breast cancer mutations. Doesn't this make the somatic mutation model less likely? A low sugar diet won't 'deprive all your cells of sugar' because there are no essential carbohydrates. So if you only eat protein and fat, your body still maintains a steady blood glucose level. If oncologists were able to explain how their treatments were meant to work, it would be easier to believe them. Instead, it seems we're invited to have faith in the established medical system, which doesn't seem very scientific.
