Having played around with ChatGPT quite a bit, I wasn't surprised, but love the video!

One of the first things I did with GPT was to ask it for winning strategies for Cribbage. Surely the robot has enough knowledge to share something useful. I don't remember the answer, but I'm sure it wasn't insightful. A couple weeks ago I asked it to modify some php code. The first version didn't work and even missed the closing brackets. Hit regenerate and the code worked. Nicely commented to see how it works, too.

Since you asked, I agree that it failed on the flush question, and it really fails all around at cribbage. The thing to remember is that ChatGPT is a language model, so more concerned with words and less about facts, particularly if the facts have nuance. For example, ask some basic math problems that are unique enough that it hasn't seen them specifically online anywhere.

chat gpt gives even worse instructions than the paper instructions that came with my dollar store cribbage board! impressively terrible!
