Liverpool has so many players that they are quite dependent on. Salah, van dijk, gravenberch, Robertson. With the amount of games, they will have injuries. What Liverpool has is mental resilience. I was watching them against Fulham and I can't believe they manage to get a draw from being one man and one goal behind after 20 min. They were even pushing to win the game in the final minutes. If they can stay focus despite their injuries later this season they will win if not we will 🎉🎉🎉.

The table is not lying. We are a game and 2 points behind Liverpool. Others have fallen back. This terrific run is going to end sometime. However, the team is rapidly improving, Liverpool is going great in the CL, fatigue will take a toll, and injuries for all teams are unpredictable. We have Liverpool at home in May. Liverpool probably has the edge, but it is up for grabs.

We’ve got Arsenal away on the 15th March; and then an absolutely killer month of May with Liverpool and Man Utd at home, and Newcastle and Forest away as our last 4 games of the season. The time when we go week after week watching the ball passed to the wing repeatedly with no penetration against low blocks, poor crossing and no one to head them in is when things would go sour. I can only hope that possession, low risk passing do not become our style every week. Maresca needs to maintain alternatives to low risk passing and control, such as riskier passing down the middle and just putting the ball in dangerous areas without dribbling into the box or crossing from the wing.

I trust in Nico, ups or down. The gaffer trusts him and so do I. I don’t think we’re completely SOL if we lose Nico since we have N’Kunku. I know his work rate off the ball is not similar to Nico, but he’s a lot more clinical in front of goal. As for the defense, we’ll get there. I just like seeing that fight from our guys, and the discernible pride they get when they grind through. For me winning the league is a bonus at this point.
