I’ve been googling tattoo designs the past few weeks, and this video appeared on my feed. Among other videos talking about the style of tattoos I might like. This video helps me see I don’t NEED the tattoo. What will I inherit? What is the point? What is the net gain? Zero. Thank you brother. I appreciate the video. ♥️

I finded myself a lot in this video.. i will talk about my personal experience: 2 years ago i migrated alone to australia from italy, some months before i stopped speaking with my father after a big argue started cause i’ve done myself some ear rings and ended up with bigger concerns.. i grew up catholic i’m also baptized but only my mom practice religion now, that being said, i lost my faith through the years and when i went to aus i started tattoing myself, since i was far and self caring about myself, being alone got me influenced easily, also as sign of rebellion mixed up with the need of filling a void in me and also to fit in.. after the tattoo i realized that it was even worst, it was attractive to girls but i was feeling empty.. during this process i was also started coming close to christianity again, i tooked me some time to realize that the only thing that matter is Christ. Now i’ve got a full sleeve tattoo wich i don’t dislike but i just think is useless and i wish i was clean again, i’m also thinking about getting rid of it but that will cost money and cause scars so i will see. Thanks for the video

Thank you for sharing with us brother. It is good to hear that you have come to realise all we need in life is Jesus Christ and that everything else is vanity. I would encourage you to get an Orthodox Study Bible, it helps so many people including myself, understand the Bible. It has many commentaries and explanations of verses, get yourself that and try to read it everyday brother. Do you go to a Church currently?
@lorenzopedoni968913 күн бұрын
I am currently studying the Orthodox Bible, when i came back in search of the truth that’s where i found it, i’m still stuying it, reading it and yes i am going to church.. i just came back to italy yesterday but i was in Greek Orthodox St Spyridon church in Kingsford-Sydney on saturday evening, idk if you’re familiar with that..anyway i love your content brother keep sharing the truth God bless🙏🏻☝🏻☦️

I think the biblical response is that it’s prudent or wise not to get a tattoo. It’s neither sinful nor edifying but it’s best to avoid it.

I think this is actually a more serious topic which requires greater examination, brother. A short KZbin entry on it isn't going to cut it, I'm afraid. I don't think your comparisons with alcohol drinking or even the basic cosmetic enhancements like tooth restructuring, are correct either. There's a world of difference between getting dental implants and getting a tattoo permanently grafted onto the skin.
@Christintheculture15 күн бұрын
@@markeedeep fair enough brother, tell me what you think. I agree I could have said more, namely in the area of St Paul telling us if eating meat would make his brother stumble then he would never eat meat again. But I’m interested to hear your thoughts

I think me getting my baptism date tattooed isn't a sin, I really just want to remember it and maybe talk to people about it if they ask me, for sure getting naked women isn't a good idea or nor should a Christian have it, just my thoughts

@@Christinthecultureapproaching the matter from an historical context is key, in this case. I was a kid during the eighties. Are you aware that back then, there were hardly any people, especially youngsters, sporting tattoos? This isn't even such a long time ago, either. Perhaps being around 30 years old still, you aren't yet familiar with the actual scale in cultural shift, in just several decades. I still get the impression nowadays people are either ignorant (usually younger people) or otherwise forgetful, as though the changes from the past somehow no longer matter. It's weird to me.
@markeedeep14 күн бұрын
@@arcanepI don't consider myself an example to follow and to freely dish out advice as though I am in authority (because I am not), but honestly speaking Chrismation is your one and only "tattoo" and it doesn't perish. Why then, would you need branding on your skin, which perishes along with the rest of your body over time, anyway? Your baptism is way more serious than commemorating it in such a profane way.

Amen. Tattoos are vanity & mutilation of the flesh. It's also incredibly offensive to other Christians. ✝️

*Leviticus 19:28* You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, *nor print any marks on your body* for I am the Lord. *Ecclesiastes 1:2* Vanity of vanities, its all vanity. *1 Corinthians 6:19-20* Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God with your body and with your spirit, which belong to God. *Ephesians 2:10* For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. *Ecclesiastes **12:13* Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. *Revelation 14:12* Here is the patience/endurance of the saints/saved: those who keep the commandements of God, and the faith of Jesus

None of those verses address the matter, I talked about the first verse in Leviticus you sighted.. The verse before that says not to cut your hair or trim your beard lol what do you make of that since the tattooing is grouped in with doing everyday grooming tasks. We need to be more nuanced on these topics, but not everyone is ready for solid food and that's okay.
@storm26014 күн бұрын
@@Christintheculture So you are comparing getting hair cut to a tattoo 🤦🏻♂️ You either believe its okay to get tattoos or not, instead of playing devils advocate. The verses I provided are applicable in context of the topic when making a decision about tattoos, and given the character of God and the messaging found in the word of God. Perhaps you are still in the milk phase on your Christian walk... 'lol' 🤦🏻♂️ I will be clear, a tattoo doesnt edify God, it defiles the body (your body is a temple of God), it is unnecessary. To say otherwise is to encourage others to what end, not a good example. And as you are on youtube teaching, you will be held accountable the bible says, so dont take it lightly. If I could go back in time and ask Jesus should I get a tattoo, what do you feel he might say?

Definitely @Christintheculture but also I believe a mental health issue is at play as well for such modifications. Maybe demonic, attacking the mind then the flesh.

@@beautifulwhitecat why are you sighted a verse that I addressed in the video? This verse before this prohibits cutting out hair and trimming our beards, is that also something you abide by? God bless my friend, I would encourage us to examine WHY we're doing things, if there's a slight chance that vainglory and pride is laced into it, I would avoid it. But this isn't a hill I want to die on, just a suggestion. There are much bigger matters to focus on for us Christians.
