Those ships of concern are the Nimbus-class V-wing fighters, the main light interceptor starship used by Clone Pilots. Also, I would love to see more bounty hunters, pirates and smugglers leading armies as mercenary generals! If possible, scenarios where the Separatist council members (Wat tambor, Poggle the lesser, Nute Gunray, San Hill, Whorm Loathsome, Shu Mai etc.) are in charge of armies would be amazing to see!

Retaking a ship doesn't make as much sense as a planet or a fortification. If the CIS would take an enemy vessel they'd likely scuttle it after salvaging whatever they can use aboard. They wouldn't leave it sitting around for the republic forces to get it back

I know that I harp on about defender's advantage, but perhaps that last thing is something that you should do every so often: on top of the normal defenses, just pack the final area with as many defenders as you can fit. If half of them get blasted by a single bazooka shot, there is still the other half.
