I'm so glad I found your channel recently. Loving your turntablism content. I had become complacent with my skill level and kinda bored with cutting and your tutorials and have really inspired me to take scratch breaks while working from home again. I've been having a lot of fun cleaning up some of my sloppier open fader cuts. Super sick cuts. Thanks!

I mean, my scratches don't sound as clean, but after watching you break them all down, I think im actually nailing them (my Joe needs some work tho) good video for beginners this one!

The one scratch I found really difficult to do on a controller was tap scratches, where you'd use your fingers to tap the jogwheel to play 16th or 32nd notes, I think its just the jogwheel sensitivity as I do use an RB.
@priyonjoni3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the jog wheel. Mechanical jog wheels like on the CDJs might be easier to do this on. Touch capacitive may be more challenging.

Will you do a review and scratching on the Numark Mixtrack Platinum fx? I would love to hear your thoughts about that controller.

Hi Pri Yon DJ. Can you please show me one more time how to do right the scratch setup on SeratoDj. I never got it right? I even put the latency at 2 on my iMac pro. I please need a step by step from you. You’re a true master !Thank you!
@priyonjoni3 жыл бұрын
I put the crossfader to sharp and I can use a buffer setting as slow as 5ms.

@@priyonjoniI'll try it and let you know. Thanks for the head up. Have a great day DJ.

Nice! In the end, it's the skill, not the tools that make a DJ a pro

i think performance is based on the skills. it's been over a year since i bought DDJ sb3 and can't synchronize jog wheel movement with that of the crossfader

Are you a righty or a lefty? Should I practice both sides equally anyway?
@priyonjoni3 жыл бұрын
I am a lefty. That is why I use my left hand on the crossfader. It won’t feel natural when you first do it but will help get to advanced scratching much faster than the other way.
@undiscoveredbum6663 жыл бұрын
@@priyonjoni by that do you mean left hand on the crossfader is superior, or that practicing with both hands will help with advanced techniques? I do admit right hand on the platter feels more natural but I am a righty so that's a huge bias
@KidAlmighty303 жыл бұрын
does the DJ software you use make a difference on the accuracy of the scratching?
@blayx3 жыл бұрын
i wanna know too
@bigdaz72723 жыл бұрын
Software no but latency can play a part so you want to exceed the minimum specs for the Software but thats not hard, one of my old laptops from 2009 handles Serato and scratching without issue if i don't have many programs open in the the background ect.

Instead of using the top, rub along the ridges of the side of the jog wheel.
