Fun fact: The cowboy version of Deadpool was voiced by the man himself, Matthew McConaughey. Ladypool was voiced by Blake Lively, and Deadpool kids were voiced by their children with Reynolds. Headpool was voiced by Nathan Fillion. There's a lot of easter eggs in that scene, including a Stan Lee poster on the bus and the "Liefeld's Just Feet" pedicure salon (Rob Liefeld, the creator of Deadpool, is notoriously unable to draw feet)

Funny thing about the rant at the end. Ryan wrote it as a teasing joke to get Chris to agree to the movie. Well it kinda backfired when Chris said hed do the movie but only if it was GUARANTEED the rant made the final cut. Also they had cue cards ready so Chris didnt have to memorize the rant but being Chris he memorized it anyways and they got it in 2 takes.

Notice they never make a joke about Laura, her character is always treated with respect. Everyone else get teased, but not her. And notice when she first shows up she doesn’t say much she just stares at Logan, with sadness in her eyes. She also switches from saying “him” to “you” in mid conversation and he doesn’t correct her, he just lets her say to him what she would have said to her Logan. It’s a subtle thing in the movie but if you watch for it is impactful

Thing about those hyper muscular shots is the actor has to super dehydrate to get that look. :\ And it wasn't a good bye to the old movies or characters, but a goodbye to Fox. The vast majority of this movie was related to the Fox-Marvel movies, such as Blade and Elektra. A lot of people have complained about Channing Tatum's Creole dialect in this, echoing Deadpool, but Channing grew up in the area and that's his native speech. Other Creole native speakers have confirmed that Channing was dead on.

This was pretty much a perfect movie. My only small nitpick would be: Since there's a cowboypool, instead of using Matthew McConaughey to voice him, it would be nice to have Roger Clark do it. We would get Red Deadpool (redemption).

To change genres, have you seen "Excalibur"? If not, please do, it's one of if not the best movie about King Arthur and the legend of the Holy Grail. With its musical score, cinematography, and powerhouse casting (many were up and coming) is second to none. BTW: Tara's reaction with her excitement of the soundtrack and laughing made my evening after a very long day.

My theory about the opening credits not saying stupid shit is that Hugh Jackman wanted his name to appear in the credits, as he's a huge star and probably requires it in his contract. And I think it's a whole legal thing that says if one actor's name appears in the credits, then all the main cast and crew's names need to be included as well. But this credits sequence was hilarious regardless.

You should check out the directors commentary. The director and Ryan Reynolds talks about the movie and has some good behind the scenes. 6:21 think you got so excited about N’Sync you missed the Gossip Girl joke. Nicholas Pauley is playing “Dancepool” 7:23 they actually took a couple skeletons and swung them around to see what they could do with a human skeleton then add the bones would be indestructible. 7:32 I think they talked in the directors commentary why they didn’t do the gag credits. 19:25 the director was thinking of having Deadpool find a real Wolverine but time and budget didn’t allow it. 24:03 love how he says they’ve been prohibited from use cocaine then says “on camera”. 31:10 need to play the scene from Finding Nemo when Dory finds squishy. 31:52 Nicepool is played by Ryan’s imaginary twin brother Gordon Reynolds. Poor Ryan had to have salmon paste in his mouth for the dog to lick his mouth. 36:32 she’s 52 when this came out. She’s not wearing the heels that Elektra usually wears cause she said at her age it’s not that easy anymore. Snipes is 62. 38:26 he was like a kid on set not wanting each day of filming to end.
