Solid State Battery is coming. Also Hydrogen fuel engine is coming. The vehicle manufactures themselves are confused and doing all kinds of things. I would suggest, don't fall for these EV marketing and plan if it is needs (which is better) and want (post pone till technology is stabilised ). Also software update works efficiently till the hardware is compatible to adopt it. So, overall there is no resale value after hardware is outdated! (Buy only if you good with range and not worried about resale value).

I just wanted to share my experience as a single car owner of an MG ZS EV. I bought mine about four months ago and have already driven almost 6000 km. I’m 110% satisfied with my decision! The 50 kWh battery provides an impressive range of 330-350 km in the city and 360-380 km on the highway, even with the AC running. I only need to charge it once a week, which is super convenient. It’s interesting to see that some consumers still hesitate about EVs. Many seem to skip the research phase and are skeptical about the benefits. I often find myself smiling internally when they question my choice. Transitioning to electric has been a fantastic decision for me! Thanks for shedding light on the EV experience!

the issue is that there is so much misinformation at most basic level that people don't even consider it as option, my relatives used to think that EV cant drive in water else one would get shock, such kinds of misinformation exists. I am not even talking about car enthusiast people, just normal layman its good that EV owners share positive experiences like these to break the myths

I bought MG ZS EV in 2021. And I had taken good amount of inputs from your Mumbai Delhi video. I've been extremely satisfied with the Car so far. Few issues which are left out in this video, I feel, are 1. Degradation of the battery- after about 60k km, the range has dropped from 300+ to 270/280 2. Summers effect the range significantly and India is a hot Country. 3. Ease of charging - you need to have a lot of apps for different chargers and the charging apps tend to block your money in their wallet. 4. Charger availability and charging etiquette - Although the number of chargers have increased, so have the users. Most chargers have two outlets max and if there are cars using them already, then the waiting time adds up to the total journey time. Also, people waiting for 100% charging. 80- 100 % charging takes atleast double the time. 5. Range Anxiety is a fact. When you're on highway, with family, with night approaching, in unfamiliar places it does hit you. But For driving within city, there's no comfortable car than an EV. I keep watching your videos and appreciate your efforts in promoting the EVs. Hope the concerns I highlighted reach to correct corners through you.

One thing you are missing. You can easily get your ev charged even if there is no charging station, as electricity is everwhere. On the contrary, petrol is not everywhere and in case there is war like situation, or petrol shortage, ev will be only option. Also it has less vibration...No need of pollution certificate. No noise.. Kindly specify if there's any option such as mobile ev chargers on call...

@@AntiNatalAtheist yes because you can make electricity from hydro, solar, nuclear coal, wind, all are resources present within the country war doesn't mean india in war with someone, just look at russia as soon as war started in ukraine, they stopped supply of fuel to europe so its not necessary that oil supply will be stopped due to war in our country, even nearby country war can affect you do you really think gulf and opec will stay quiet if israel iran situation escalates?

EVs are great, and driving one feels better than an ICE car. I tried my friend’s Nexon EV and loved it. However, EVs suit cities more than rural areas. Here in Kashmir, we face frequent power cuts, especially in winter. In cities, EVs work well with predictable schedules. But what if you suddenly need a long trip and the EV is low on charge? My friend didn’t face these inconveniences often, but they still frustrated him enough that he sold the EV and bought an i20 for more flexibility. With petrol cars, if you’re low, you can easily get fuel and continue.

Plus, it’s environmentally friendly and provides good value, making it one of the best all-electric options for any driver.

From a EV Owner 1. OK 0 to 100 done in 8 Secs, but what about continuous driving, if you drive at 100 on highways their range is half. 2. Resale is nothing, for a 18.5 lacs car I bought in 3 Years no is buying even at 6Lacs , Tried Cars24, Spinny 3. Chargers not reliable: No matter what any app shows or even someone charged 1 hour back, it gets tricky many times, you can be sure that the charger you decided in route will work. 4. Battery SOC: Drive 3 years and it drops and companies that replaces it under warranty is refurbished batteries: Sadly they are not good at all. 5. Tata: Biggest EV Maker for now and Mahindra third grade technology, battery and service centers 0 Reliability 6. Somehow if you do not have car warranty not talking about battery normal car, one piece of wire may cost you anywhere between 50k to 90k, yes there is very less maintenance then ICE cars but one breakdown and no warranty, be ready to take a personal loan. Range drops drastically on highways or heat days, happens with ICE but at least I do have option to fill petrol anywhere, these cars are good if you want to drive daily 10 - 20kms , can take care of it like own baby, It is not made for ruggedness and that off kinda use that happens day to day. Load 5 people range gone by 30% and sudden charging drops even MG and Kia EV6 have these problems From me, I have Nexon EV with 3 Years, 97000Kms done but believe me headache and range anxiety and turtle mode fear is always there, Now I stopeed taking flyovers what if car stops midway, same issue with my friends MG and one more Tata. Moreover ICE cars are more reliable and better for long term and actual driving and commute.

Good to know. As a fellow EV driver of the ZS, there is no way going back to ICE ever. No sure what you mean by load 5 people and the range drops by 30%. Drove 3200km from Mumbai to Munnar and back with 4 adults and 10 luggage bags. Got an efficiency of 7.6km per kW with an average speed of 47kmph given our terrible traffic and roads.EVs make most sense for city driving. The nexon prime has a tiny battery not fit for highway use at all. For the reasons to mentioned, EVs aren't for all, however its only matter of time. Enjoy the green drive

Do a road trip from with a mass market ev, to experience the 16000 chargers, if these are on paper or actually in working order. Govt likes stuff on paper but in reality it is little to no change. Most chargers are offline, broken, or it simply dont exist in real. And dont use the route mostly used. Do a normal highway or 4lane.

I have done several long trips, roughly 1 in 5 public charging fails. Power cuts, broken chargers, connectivity are the common issues. But there are enough chargers on the route and you always have plan B. With some planning long trips are practical in EVs

The reality is that, in India, long-distance travel using electric vehicles (EVs) remains a challenge due to the underdeveloped infrastructure. The current enthusiasm for democratizing EV concepts primarily applies to two-wheelers and cars designed as alternatives to two-wheelers, such as the MG Comet. To truly boost EV adoption in India, it is essential to have electric cars that offer over 500 km of real-world mileage, a sufficient number of fast-charging stations, government subsidies, and reduced dependence on China for technology and spare parts.

Definitely. It's your choice. No one forced you. If you drive in city, get petrol sedan for agility and refinement, if you drive in long distances highway get a diesel suv cause diesel sedans are rare nowadays. And if ev suits you get it

> And the point is 1L+ chargers can be commissioned how many are maintained? Pvt companies like tata and jio are making these investment, they don't care about EV or ICE, if their chargers don't work, it will be their loss of revenue. Needless to say, petrol pump chargers are worst (as the owners are hostile to ev and think we are stealing their fuel business) whereas chargers at hotels and restaurants as well as dedicated charging hubs built by jio are best in reliability as they have to recover investment (both charger operator and land owner pool money to setup charger) > Will you trust the earthing lines of all public chargers? Without earthing you can't even run a electric kettle, chargers are not built in middle of nowhere on roadside, they are built at places which already have so much power requirement like hotels, petrol pump and restaurants that if they didn't have proper earthing, their equipment wont even work, which includes AC, petrol pump machines etc. > Will my warranty be void if i use any public charger? No this is such a simple q that even google search would have answered it, you are just inventing excuses to hate EV > How many people in india park their cars on streets in front of their house?? then we should have laws like japan where you have to produce proof of owning parking space before buying car as necessary document > Can you just plugin a charger on the street and leave it there? Please answer yes, kerala already has lampost chargers, come out of the well oh frog of the well, world is moving fwd, WB moving backward > I like to have food at a local dhaba and not a restaurant then skill issue, earn more ig

EV kharidna compulsory nahi hai. You can use bicycle and grab running tractor. People are smarter than you to address all those problems you listed and are buying every month in thousands. You can wait till maturing of the technology and infrastructure to your satisfaction. Smartphone with touchscreen ke Zamane me bhi keyboard wala feature phone kai log use karte hai. Technology adapt karne ka har ek ka time alag hota hai.

TBH the government should not force the people the people in to buying/driving what they want. Everybody should have their freedom. moreover it is not guaranteed that EV is the Future for everybody. EV has its own disadvantages too. It is not entirely environmentally friendly so it should not be forced upon people.

Great show and great try to convince audience for EV adaptation... But still I feel looooonnng waaayy to go for complete dependence on EV. I being from Kokan travel more than 600 kms one side more than thrice a year. Can you show one reliable charging station along old Mumbai Goa highway or Mumbai Pune Kolhapur Goa route... No way sorry. And yes range anxiety still isss aaaa biiiigggg concern. 100 kms in 8 sec will consume atleast 10% of the battery juice if not more and steep gradients even more. To summarise still EV needs to be much much more affordable and efficient to enter in the middle class market segment.

It doesn't say anything about the charging pattern, and if you charge the battery without 20% remaining, it will deteriorate quickly.

No buyer actually realise the power they hold. People out there just buy an ev without thinking anything if possible, use them and then throw them and then buy a next one. If you recall the revolution of phones, an electric vehicle is just another consumer electronic in which you travel. ByeBye fuel taxes. Hello Solar energy !

see charging isn't a problem as people, not only in India but worldwide, charge their cars at home. My Tata Nexon has done 100k kms in 3 years but I dont feel like my review of electric cars as a whole will be too accurate because I feel like all the multiple issues and breakdowns I have had are seemingly Tata Problems and not EV problems. Would I buy another EV? NO, simply because they aren't as fun and engaging, and long distance travel is still a problem. We have multiple cars so it hasn't been a problem. Do I regret buying the EV? Not really. Good service (where I live at least) and the comfort and ease of driving I would say have eased the issues with reliability and I must say that the issues have decreased in number from the time we bought the car to now. Lastly I must mention this even though unrelated to EVs, the AC on the Nexon is the worst I have ever experienced, hope they fix the issue and provide a more powerful unit.

Rachit bhai...the resale value is really poor for EV's. I have both Nexon and MG Zs, but resale has dropped massively! Leaving me with no option but to keep using, mind you wanted to sell Nexon to buy the Windsor! Not having any issues with any of my cars! But it is a fact that resale is literally nothing!

Overall land area of India is ~32,00,000 sq Km. In that way having 16000 charger is like 1 charger per 200 sq km. Which again is not the reality as most of these charger would be within the city… So, yet again EV is not an option until we have adequate penetration into the rural areas.

you are comparing wrong metric you should compare as per road network not country area total highway network in india is 7 lakh km only which means 1 charger every 45km charger are built along road network, not in middle of forest in city you dont need public charger as every car already comes with home charger free of cost

A person whose running is high say 3,000 km per month. by 4.5 yrs the running would be 1,60,000 km and car will be out of warranty. By then we would have saved say 7 lac rupees. after that if any problem comes in battery or any electronic items God save us. Also pls note these electronic items are directly replaced and not repairable unlike IC engine where even one small part can be replaced. Also who will buy used EV which is out of warranty . Whereas ICE cars gets sold out for atleast 50% of the buying cost after 5 yrs. The ammt we save for fuel will be lost in re-sale cost.

Correct me if I'm wrong Log hamesha khete hai ki EVs pollution free hoti hai as compared to a petrol or diesel car magar ek EV ki manufacturing mei jyada pollution create hota hai sath mein tire pollution ke baare mein koi nahi bolta

how is oil made and how much oil car uses throughout its life? go search that you will realise all this "ev pollutes more in mfg" is myth created by oil companies to distract people from the oil spills, and pollution caused by their refineries 40% of all the cargo ships in the world transport oil, and ships are worst polluter on planet

@@ManjuDevi-ly5tf no, ev uses just 5-6kg lithium and no cobalt in case of indian EVs whereas ice car will use 5000-6000 L of oil (fuel, lubricants, engine oil) in entire lifetime pollution from extraction, refining and transport of 6000L fuel will be much more than 6kg lithium

Kitne bhi charger ho jaay, long route pe me har 250 kms k baad charging karne nai ruk sakta. Jab government khud bolti hai Mumbai Delhi via new exp way 12 hours me hoga toh I can't stop for 2 hours after every 2 hours and make it 24 houra drive. Moreover, production of EV with current technology is more polluting also the driving on thermal power. Yaha ghar chalane k liye electricity deficiency hai. Adhe India me frequent power cut ho rahe hai or sarkar ko EV chalani hai

What most people don’t talk about is the charging time. Most people buying these cars live in metros and there are a lot of load shedding. During those time, DSG sets are used and the cost of per unit rate when using those sets is ₹20-₹25 per unit. This increases the cost of charging an ev significantly.
