No idea at first, who is who. The "talking heads" did not respond in any noticeable way to the introduction by a host. I did not catch the names & job titles during the oral introduction & the subtitles are atrocious: so much for the "AI" (it is idiotic in the extreme). In addition, the volume is very low. WHY WASTE TIME ON INTRODUCTION if you later provide the names & the job titles on the screen when each person speaks?!!

Completely unprofessional to be using a headphone & mic system designed for call centers in India with awful audio.

The European chattering class. Thinks it can contribute to the solution. But epitomises a key part of the problem. Academia is even more sclerotic, unable to adapt, introspective and unambitious than European businesses. Each and everyone of the EU initiatives that tried to improve European competitiveness over the last 50 years has failed. Why should it be different this time?

Did a quick research about initiatives for boosting EUs competitiveness and I did not find any initiative from the past that is comparable to what Dhragi has presented. I am curious what you are talking about. Can you please name some of the failed initiatives you are talking about?

I wouldn't take this person's negativity and biased remark seriously.

@@toom2141 The best ever piece of industrial policy in Europe was Airbus. And that was not driven by Brussels. During it's early years, coal and steel were the center of industrial policy. The best you can say about it is that it softened the failure of the industry - but certainly didn't build any future for this industry. The internet- and media-initiatives to the EU? Not a single globally relevant player came out of it. Digitisation initiatives: Global laughing stock. Talk to Asians about it. Green deal: To be seen, but not looking good. Billions and billions spent - nothing to show for. I am happy if you can tell me anything that worked.... Best ever EU initiative: Single Market. Create a framework - but don't interfere. Where the EU tried to interfere: Desaster!
