Even walking heel strike shouldn’t happen. Watch kids watch people in remote areas it’s only developed from shoe design

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The natural biomechanics of walking, also known as gait, do indeed involve heel striking first. This is known as the "heel-to-toe" movement that's typical in a walking gait, where the heel contacts the ground first, followed by the rolling of the foot and finally pushing off with the toes. This sequence helps to distribute the body's weight across the foot and reduce impact on any one area. You made a thought-provoking statement about heel striking not being observed in children and people living in remote areas. It would be helpful if you could provide any research or studies that support this claim, as this could add to the conversation and our understanding of walking and running biomechanics in different environments. In terms of running, as the video explains, the impact of heel striking can be quite significant: "Impact peaks can equal the force of your body's mass when walking and can be up to three times that when running." For running, adopting a midfoot or forefoot strike, particularly when barefoot or wearing minimalist footwear, can help manage these forces. However, transition needs to be done carefully and gradually to prevent injury. In conclusion, it seems that the question of heel strike versus forefoot strike is not so much a matter of right or wrong, but more about what is suitable and sustainable for each individual, their footwear, and their environment.

@@CailbheDoherty just watch kids no shoes there’s your study. Heel strike develops from shoes with heels it isolates muscle groups especially glute max! Landing on a heel with leg straight sends jarring force through the body and also you are not in a stable position with muscles to help balance with a leg out on front of you while being on a heel! Just study yourself and start watching it doesn’t make sense

@@CailbheDoherty in conclusion it takes time to transition as it hadn’t been done properly since probably childhood lol 😂

@@CailbheDoherty and the videos I watched the aboriginals in is called fishing the wild worlds best fisherman or second best I can’t remember exactly but many videos of different cultures no shoes will show! I broke my femur badly just over 3 years ago it was brutal recovery that let you back issues and all from following the studies of heel you toe walk. I was told back wouldn’t heal !! I corrected it all just learning all this practicing it and the proper mechanics pushing /pulling out forefoot much like a lever completely corrected all of this within 28 days …

@@CailbheDoherty this has become a obsession of mine after a broken femur unable to recover to high standard and that leading to a back injury with no one able to fix or help seeing experts with the combine education and experience of 100-200 years I found a video of forefoot walking. This mechanics corrected everything I’ve looked at it from every angle unbiased and I firmly believe you will find heel strike is reverse mechanical function so it is about being right or wrong!
