What Google has already done to catchup to OpenAI is impressive, I say this because of their size, compared to OpenAI. OpenAI was down for many hours this week and I don't remember Google being down ever... OpenAI has advantage for now lets see how it works out going forward...

Such a great point. Yeah before the latest set of announcements I basically had zero expectations for Google to play catch up and was really caught off guard when their demo was showcasing near identical progress to GPT4o. It really is challenging for massive orgs to make pivots and to make progress in completely new areas and it's been really interesting to see just how serious these tech giants are taking OpenAI's threat as the newbie on the block.
