Jesus Christ this is good music. I’m impressed with how the entire band is doing its own thing, but somehow on the same level?!?!

What is motorik? How do I find more of this right here?
@adamwright41354 ай бұрын
this drumming is far too complex to be considered motorik, which is usually a simple propulsive 4/4 with a snare on the off beat and hi-hats playing eighths. motorik is tight and focused - this is a groove and it's really a funk rhythm. Klaus Dinger from Neu pioneered the motorik and here's his blueprint: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ_HoZxuqbONr7M

@@adamwright4135 Silver Apples and Red Krayola had a proto-motorik thing going and they were from the '60s. The Monks also intended to not use cymbals and to keep it primal and they were U.S G.I's stationed in Germany. "What Goes On" by the Velvet Underground too and some Soft Machine songs. Also listen to "Mind Destruction" by the Oxford Circle from 1966, that's a really close example of an early motorik beat.

@@kelechi_77 Moe Tucker was absolutely an influence and I can definitely hear the beat in Mind Destruction too!
