Congrats on the thingy! its awesome! Quick Question for you both with a not so short story prefacing it. I just joined the tribe of magnificent bastards but i have been drinking whisky for a long time. I've mostly drank highlands and speysides but recently have fallen in love with every Irish i have had, especially Redbreast 12, and have never really consistently drank anything higher than 45ish% ABV. My mom recently purchased the Redbreast 12 yr cask strength for me as a gift and the bottle says its 58.2% ABV. I have had about 4 pours worth of it and find the majority of the flavors i love in redbreast 12 to be subdued or hidden. Is this from the cask strength and that i'm not used to such high proof whisky so i notice the proof more than the flavors or does having such a high proof subdue the flavors of the whisky. Keep up all the awesome content guys!

Daniel, throughout my watching experience I've wondered why you have yet to become a level 4 or 5 whisky sommelier? With your vast knowledge and now forays into distilling I'd assume you'd have done so by now. Have you yet to be able to pass those levels of tests or is it more a matter of simply not having the time or interest to do the necessary requirements to gain the next levels?

It's actually because we're the ones who are crafting the curriculum and we haven't created those levels yet. I've been working on them for the past two years, but there are still missing ingredients that we have yet to finalize
