I reckon this will dispel doubts that Bullard got a 102. But regardless, when Bullard says he got a 102, he's not saying he regularly got breaks of that much. He was easily a regular 50-60 breaker, but everyone can get that one off good day at the office. He definitely has it in the locker, especially in his pomp when he was playing regularly, to have nicked a 102.
@deepskymike7676 ай бұрын
Had a disagreement with the lads down at my local club. They said no way he’s ever had a century but I said I think he has. You could just tell he had a little bit of cue ball control. If he was regularly practicing then I can definitely see him getting plenty of decent 50/60bs. Plus, like you say, the odd biggy.
@johnhalliday7196 ай бұрын
Agreed, I heard him talk years ago on his podcast ‘the magic sponge’ about how he’d spend every evening down the snooker club. Think head the sort to right get stuck on things and goes all in, you can see that in his golf. It’s so easy to lose that snooker ability, I was a regular club player with a few 50s but if I play now which I do once every few months if I get a 20 I’m buzzing, easy to lose it!

Mr. Hendry, as an American that loves all cue sports including snooker, I am a big fan of yours. I am also, or rather was, a high level amateur pool player. Unfortunately, I have neurological issues and suffer from the same issue that caused your career demise and I quit playing full time due to the yips as well. It is very sad. I do still have days of glory but nothing consistent anymore. It is such a pleasure to see you still have great form and I am sure it is motivating for you to see Ronnie, only a few years younger than you, playing his best snooker now. You should really consider playing full time again and get back to your life passion. Much like Mike Tyson, I'm sure your internal drive and unfulfilled career accomplishments are still on your mind. I know you would love to make it a career 8th or 9th and genuinely I believe you are still young enough and talented to do so. I bet Jimmy White feels the same way as I do, but I feel your biggest issue is your confidence and I can tell by how often you joke to mitigate the internal anger you are probably feeling about embarrassingly falling short of your former self. My biggest life struggles now due to health issues are that I cannot perform in any aspects of my life as I used to formerly due in early stages of my life. Sadly, these neurological issues are completely out of my control and if I had the opportunity, as you do, I wouldn't take the youth or health for granted. I am speaking from my heart when I tell you to chase your dreams until you can't anymore, because there will be plenty of time in retirement of life to ponder and happily relax about having done anything and everything you could to give to this game and to this beautiful world we all share. Best wishes from one lovely human to another. Keep up the good work but please try and make it great work again!

He's said many times, that he doesn't enjoy the practice now, so sadly, there won't be a comeback. Like many greats, he was the best, because he practiced so much. People can only keep that going for so long, Stephen dominated for a decade, only 3 people beat him at the Crucible in the 90s, that's something we're unlikely to ever see again.

Stephen Hendry, at his peak, wouldn't have missed that number of pots 'at that range' in a full season! Lots to do with a lack of table time and winning matches, but he was a beast in his prime. A confident Hendry usually started with a century break and finished with a clearance... You could argue how the mighty has fallen, but it's more truthful to say, "the mighty has forgotten how great he was!"
@sharpvidtube6 ай бұрын
He doesn't practice enough. The different body shape doesn't help and he still has problems with the yips. I think if he had to, he could get back to a good standard, but what motivation does he have now? He's obviously happy doing the punditry/commentating, playing golf and making KZbin videos. All that would have to go, if he was to make a proper comeback.

There should be a show called Strictly Snooker where pros get given celebrities to coach. Celebs could do short challenges against each other instead of full matches to make the show practical. Maybe the final could be a proper best of 5 match or something. Just a couple of hours coaching a few times a week from the pros, not crazy long hours like the dancing show. Then the celebs could practise more on their own of they want. If you put it on KZbin it would also be accessible to the Chinese fans. I reckon it would be really popular. I'll take 5% of ad revenue.
