Playing ai is a different skill set, there are things they are weak to and such. Which is why backseating might be done, but in this case. Yeah. Viper is probably aware of most of this and on the other side of thing, someone somewhere will ALWAYS backseat you. Makes them feel better about themselves.

@@Connection-Lostit is a common term. Backseat gaming is when someone not playing a game is telling someone who is how to play it. Especially ironic when they’re a pro player like Viper is with AOE

ur the goat viper i just started playing again! Watching you play gets me genuinely excited. I am only able to beat hardest AI at the moment; working on extreme. It is hard to transition from cowering behind walls to taking charge with an attack plan but it is necessary.

You played this game really well, this challenge seems to be impossible. It's so interesting to dissect game mechanics, in early Feudal, you can do a lot of damage with one scout, in imperial age, you can't do anything with 30 mangudai.

Honestly, when I play the definitive AI on hardest and attack with 3 scouts after 19 vil up time, the AI often already has 6 to 8 archers to defend when I arrive and will build spearman after it realizes I go scouts. I know my timings are for sure way worse than vipers, but what is this AI doing? 😂 it seems to be not defending at all in feudal

Feel like the dealbreaker is the Castle Age. If they reach castle at a decent time, then they can boom and the pop difference starts to kick in. No way one can win 200vs600 and perfect AI micro... Maybe you should try with a different mode like regicide or the snipe 1st TC thing, to more easily kill a player

You need Hera's population mod, the one that gives him +50 pop cap for every enemy beyond the first.

I was kinda sad when I saw in your previous video of Immortal vs Rehoboam that... *SPOILERS* ...Rehoboam won the finals of Davis Cup 7. Because Immortal is in fact much better, more flexible AI, but Rehoboam tends to work against AI scripts biggest disadvantage, which is early feudal age. Therefore I thought this video would be you versus 3 Rehoboams and you'd easily win in an unfun way because Reho tends to be clueless against any interruptions to its early game. I like Rehoboam. I just dislike the fact that it's not a flexible AI, and it will never be because of the way it was written, as TheNightPanda himself has pointed out in our discussions before.

Yes you can, but most of us can't. The extreme ai beats me more than not 1v1. I play on hard usually just for fun

Mr. Editor, pls re-consider using GenAI for the thumbnails. I understand it's a playful reference to use it to generate the robots for the thumbnails, but you should look into the WGA strikes and the impact the tech currently has on the creative industry while it's currently lacking in regulation. Just wanted to let you know it's not cool and not fun. I'm unsubbed for now because I want to see TheViper's channel do better than use GenAI LLMs. We all know how cringe YT "reaction" videos are when they're functionally theft; this is no different at the end of day.
