Awesome! An analysis of the 65s river bluff raise at 21:27 would be appreciated. And do you know how impressive -0.019 bb per hand vs GTO is? As far as I know there is only one other human in scientific literature who was able to play at this level of precision (who was playing in the Pluribus vs mankind match). I'm completely stunned.

17:32 curious about your comment that you don't like to mess with the game tree. I'll need to watch the other video you mentioned, but curious if you've considered the approach of - Note the Nash Eq EV - Change the game tree to depolarize your range (bet one size) - Evaluate resulting EV (if negligible loss, confirms that simplification is acceptable) - Work with the resulting tree and if you have, why you've rejected it. Looking forward to the series!

I would says that using different bet size is important. When i have a huge range asvantage on the turn i around 75% or 125% with double fd. Also i bet around 60% with range advantage and blocker or nutted hands vs weaker villain and a board thats hit or miss for them on the flop. On the river i use alot of different sizing dependant on the likeliness of the range or the nuts advantage or blocker unblocker. I raise river alot when plp show strenght and it an obv scary card for them. Plp dont rly bluff raise river they assume you have it since they dont do that. Blocker unblocker are so important on the river imo.

Twitch link? Couldn't find it via Google and I want to watch from time to time even though you won't talk. Also unless you get a really good winrate like 5bb/100 or higher I would love for it to be slightly more hands, like 250k, because 100k can still be variance if you get anything from like -2 / 2bb /100. But ofc I understand if you say it's too boring for you.

GTO loves showing down with showdown hands when it’s playing itself, but in the live round it’s more about squeezing out more from the opponent because if he reraise the river it’s a easy fold because you lose to almost everything with the A7 hand

also i dont really understand how studying a solver is going to help you in live poker. what good is it if your opponents ranges are nothing like the solver input, the hand goes 4 ways to the flop, and your opponents bet pot on the flop with 50% of range? Im not complaining or anything, I actually think opponents like this are fairly easy to beat. I just don’t see how you could even follow a solver if there are huge deviations from the nash game tree preflop
@Dere2727
@Dere2727 Жыл бұрын
Solvers aren’t about memorising ‘correct’ lines, they’re about seeing where the equilibrium lies, and where hands gain/lose EV etc. If your opponent bets too often, how much should they be betting and for what size? Where are they losing EV vs an equilibrium strategy? How can you adjust your strategy from the equilibrium to get even more EV? If you don’t consider these things, then you’re not outstrategising your opponent, just levelling them. And you’d be surprised at how often a fish will adjust when they realise none of their bluffs are getting through in which case suddenly you’re the one getting exploited by what should be an ATM machine.
@MrJoosebawkz
@MrJoosebawkz Жыл бұрын
I understand the principle of using them at a baseline but I guess since I’ve never seen it done I don’t really get how it works in practice. Like lets say you’re heads up btn vs sb srp and the flop comes monotone and connected. you’re supposed to be checking or betting small here and the sb should basically have no donk frequency afaik. But small blind donks full pot and lets just say you call and the hand plays out however it plays out. How can you even analyze the river in a solver? Villain took an action that doesn’t even exist in the game tree on the flop and maybe even preflop since they called from the sb. Ive only tried using solvers a few times and they won’t analyze actions outside of the perfect game tree they calculated unless you nodelock, but I’m pretty sure FE has warned against nodelocking bc it’s impossible to accurately fill in villains entire “incorrect” range and frequencies (something I agree with). And that’s not even getting into multiway hands I’m not actually coming from a place of criticism but ignorance. I genuinely want to know what he’s doing and how this tool works that can analyze his play against gto when he’s almost certainly playing multiway pots or opponents whose sizing is way out of the game tree. If there’s really a free tool that can still objectively grade my play against an opponent with no specific range or frequencies I’d love to use it. But I don’t fully understand what he’s doing or how.
@antihackerify
@antihackerify Жыл бұрын
what you said is right, solvers can help a bit to learn the game, but, if nobody will play the same way preflop it kinda deviates the posflop for sure, but i dont think everybody is a maniac or a donk in live, i never played live but i guess its not THAT different from online.
@MrJoosebawkz
@MrJoosebawkz Жыл бұрын
@@antihackerify the average 1¢/2¢ game is significantly closer to gto than a nitty $1/$2 live game. My thing is just even small preflop deviations change the game tree drastically but not even factoring that in, if your opponent raises with like one combo that the solver would fold with all of a sudden it’s going to tell you to call 100% of the time etc etc. and thats if u nodelock, if you don’t nodelock and ur opponent makes a move outside of the game tree, i dont see how a solver could score your play for the hand. Every solver ive used just doesn’t work if actions outside of the game tree are taken, so I’m really curious about what tools he’s using that work multiway and outside the game tree
@antihackerify
@antihackerify Жыл бұрын
@@MrJoosebawkz i dont think there are many spots where you would do something "100%", i think solver is mostly for having some hands to do something a % of the time, and i dont think this will change that much, also, you can adapt some stuff, for example, online i know limp raise is most of the time the nuts, so i can adapt, im not gonna play gto, i will just fold, but lets say, someone is plays 35/25, or 40/30, ofc it will change from someone playing 25/20, but gto will still relevant for most spots...
