If you add: -enablerespec into the settings in the battlenet launcher for Diablo2R. You can respec any amount of time (only in offline aka single player) But also from anywhere which is nice. Just mentioning since you mentioned not wanting to respec because you were on stream. Essentially the red plus besides the Stats window that you would use to put stats in str etc, never goes away. Everything functions as normal but when you alt click the Plus for the stats it respecs you, just as akara would skills and stats :). Since you do hours on end of grinding in these videos for our enjoyement figured I'd mention this in case you werent aware. Again great video as usual

Hawkmail gives you 10%FRW, but in fact it doesn't. it's a heavy armor type (scale mail, plate mail, full plate mail), wearing it gives you -10%FRW by default, so 10%FRW on it just offsets the penalty. (great video and great loot btw! kelpie snare is a beast!)

Not sure if they fixed it, but if you die wearing the horadric staff/amulet and leave them on your corpse while someone else in your party finishes the quests, you can rejoin the game and pick up the quest items. Haven't tried it in d2r, since I spend most of my time messing around with the randomizer.

Want a crazy challenge? Like absolutely mad man one? Following this one's idea, you have to create a character, then upon the first unique drop, create a new character and give that item to to the new character until they get a unique, then give that unique to a new character, eventually you'll have 1 of each class feeding unique items to each next class - each time a unique drops you have to transfer it to the next class and start playing on that character until their next unique drop. However, IF a class specific unique drops (or it rolls a skill up for that class), it must go to the class that it belongs to. My favorite set is the disciple. Then mix it up with whatever weapon, shield, or helmet you have and just run with it! The only bad thing about it is finding a dark adherent with a high enough defense percentage because I believe that the highest it goes is 860 defense. With the laying of hands you can almost glide through demons on normal and nightmare.

Buriza is actually an AMAZING weapon for a melee Druid. He straight up smacks enemies over the head with it. 80% Increased Attack Speed is incredible.

@@JoelChenFa That is pretty stupid to say. I have thousands hours sinked into Diablo 2.. And yes it can be done with just uniques. Hell people killed Baal in Hell and Uber Trist in a team of 5 players without even having gear. This run is called Iron Man run.

I'm loving your videos! I came here just to recommend playing a Classic character as well if you've never done it. I don't even mean for content, I just want to make sure you don't miss that experience! I played expansion only since it came out back in the day, and forgot how different of a game classic is, and how awesome! It surprised me a lot and now think that for many aspects, the base game was actually just better. Especially itemization. And I cannot stress that enough. Fewer, more meaningful affixes, everything that drops might be an upgrade, no OP runewords with contamination from other classes, etc. My latest char is a 2H mace whirlwind barb, which I never really liked much in the expansion, and I tend to be much more of a necro/caster guy, but it's been SO FUN! Classic might be my favorite way to play the game now. I only miss Act 5. I don't even miss the mercs much. Fewer things to worry and calculate about so I can focus more on my hero.

Thanks! I played both pre-LoD d2 as well as went back to older patches for fun in the LoD era so I’ve tried a lot of “historic” and classic d2, but I haven’t played a “new” classic in D2R yet and I probably should!

If you were a Whirlwind Berserker barbarian and managed to get two Deathcleavers, +2 Arkaine's Valor/Gladiator's Bane, Ravenfrost, Manald Heal, Highlord, Arreat's Face, Soul Drainers/Dracs, Goblin Toes/Gore Riders, String of Ears/Nosferatu Coil, and a couple of boosts to Battle Orders like Lidless shield and Culwen's point... I think you'd beat the game pretty easily on Players 1.

Zealer constantly has to worry about attack rating, in fact so bad that you're pretty much stuck using Angelics forever, while a kicksin never has to worry about AR. Tremendous content! Super exciting stuff!! Fun Fact'ish: Gull Dagger has highest drop rate from Normal Coldcrow. She's the Super Unique enemy in The Hole(?) Or whatever the cave dungeon in the Cold Plains is called. She's a tough, early farming spot, but it's my favorite target-farm in the Game 😂 Her lore also talks about how she stole a special dagger that could always reveal people's most treasured items, no matter how hidden. Which is kinda exactly what the Gull Dagger is, pretty neat!!

Okay I have an idea: Beat Diablo 2 only with Set items, and only one set at a time (unless you can wear a complete set alongside another complete set (like Civerb's (mace, amulet, shield) and Cow King's (hat, armor, boots)) you could also do the challenge and say you can absolutely only wear one set at a time. And yeah, find magic gear would absolutely go until you find a set item (also: love your content!)

Sigons is pretty OP for normal. Cleglaw’s is OP on a kickasin for normal and maybe NM. The hard part is farming the class set items in Hell.

Next challenge idea: Each time a slot item drops, you need to equip it. No matter what it replaces. Making killing vs. skipping a main consideration for the entire run. And as a threat of skipping too soon, death will eliminate all your equipment. =)

There is no such thing as "the best caster hat in the game". Shako is a great item on almost any build, but it has basically no offensive stats other than +2 skills. So depending on your build, Griffon’s eye or Nightwing’s veil, or even a +2 skills/+20fcr rare circlet can be a better option. You're probably better off with Harlequin’s crest in HC though.

D2R has terror zones - areas whose enemies become lvl 85 like in the Pit for an hour. Which area is terrorized every hour is random. they are GREAT for farming, especially Terrorized Andariel in Hell, shes the best for holy grailing. Far more than Baal in hell

In Resurrected, once you beat a difficulty level, once an hour, an area of the game will become a Terror Zone, where its level will be bumped up to yours (up to a certain threshold in Normal and Nightmare). Enemies become stronger but you can get better loot that way. Most notably in Hell, it's the only way to get Sunder Charms (which turn monster immunities into a 95% resistance, in exchange of lowering your own resistance to the same element).

I did HC SSF WW barb, no other builds allowed. It was very hard and time consuming. I can only image how hard it would be with only uniques, because I was using Fortitude and 2x Oath iirc.

Hello. Here is new challenge idea: Can you beat the game only with the gear looted from stashes, graves, barels, rocks, armor/weapon stands, corpses, etc., you get the point. No vendors, no drops from monsters, no quest reward items from npcs. Only honest hard looting :) Could be fun ;-)

Just watched the title and wondered.. why not? Long after 1.10 I almost exclusively built my characters with only rares/crafted, set and unique items. I think the reason was mostly the very low drop rate of high runes and when playing solo self found mostly. I also did not like all the too OP runewords like spirit and insight on merc so I skipped those. I guess I also liked the way itemization was in 1.09 so I liked to try and recreate those characters I played back then :)

Yeah .. for me it's often so that I just solo play through the game in medium pace and I don't often stop to farm specific runes or bases. Thats why I often don't have those until end of Nightmare or start of hell when I might farm something to stay alive in Hell :)

As a HC only player, i can only approve of kelpie's snare, there is no other item that can provide such a slowing effect, the only alternative would be reaper's toll but finding one for such a challenge is so unlikely and would be useable too late anyway.

Dual wielding doom ..level 12 holy freeze aura i think is "slows target by 53 %" and that's one doom axe ... snare is an interesting unique though..
