I have to respect the hustle in refusing to use lock on but please use the lock on function, the fight with balam is much more doable when you can focus down each enemy one at a time instead of fighting your camera.

When you're using the automatic target tracking stop trying to move the camera yourself, it *will* follow the enemy even when they go off screen

I had to do that mission on second playthough when it came to Michigan. I was just too hnderpowered

For people that dont know how its attacks works, CEL-240 can be a pain in the ass.. u can only dodge after you see it coming, and thats the exact opposite of what you ve been doing since the beginning of the game...

@@BlacksmythTV beep, beep, dodge (opposite direction of where you were strafing). Also you were taking damage when you dodged under it cause it has an aoe blast radius on the ground.

Do you want to get revenge against Snail? You can do so in defeat "Cinder" Carla mission, but you have to fight, as the name imply, Chatty and Carla

Bro you have access to the Assault Armor as well. If you hate it so much use it. If you time yours a second after theirs you can cancel most of its damage, at least from my experience. Also it might be time for a new build. Edit: The kick should be your opening attack on ACS Break. Reason being that it will get you immediately to the target, lets you get damage in and you can follow up with the sword very easily.
