You have real tour-level strengths and lots of them. Your backhand, mental game, and movement are all tour level. Forehand and serve are real strengths now too, and your returns are truly impressive because your movement is so good and your swings are so compact! Volley looks so solid, I'm saying again, that's because you understand the volley is all about movement. Overhead is so solid as well. I just don't see a weakness anywhere anymore. One day I'm going to be saying "I was watching Karue's channel when he was a former #400 in the world. Who knew he'd be out there winning ATP tourneys one day, but we all saw so much improvement so quickly that you sort of smelled that he could be something special. "

That was insane. I could not believe how fast you were moving and how well you handled that guy's serve in the first set in particular. I thought you had broken his spirit in the middle of the first set. But then he came back in the second. Glad you mentioned the new balls because it appeared just from watching that you had zoned out and lost concentration. I was super impressed that you were able to keep it together and dominate the third. Very inspiring. Makes me want to really work on speed and reaction time.

Amazing match Karue! Your opponent had the bigger shots (huge serve and tough shots off both forehand and backhand), but he was also the one under constant pressure of going for more because you have such a solid game from a mental, physical, and tactical point of view. I think that in the second set, you fell a bit into his game in trying to go for more than what you should have, but your recovery in the 3rd set was good. Always a pleasure to watch you play!

I think one of my favorite pieces of advice here is about "playing good sprints" of tennis. I think for young players at like a 4.0/4.5 level it feels like in order to get to the next level you have to just play good all the time, but it's more about picking the right moments to lock in. like fed said, you only gotta win 51% of the points to win (sometimes not even that) :-)

Nice video. Not a bad matchup for you as your movement gave you the edge in longer rallies and exposed his recovery which is a bit slow now and again. Assuming he is a big guy that has not maxed out his athletic abilities yet. Impressed by his ability to keep the ball deep. Suprised he does not have a stronger lefty slice on Ad side. Kphs are there but not the extreme angle. Would be a monster on faster court. Great serving on your part. Looking fwd to ur next match :).

By the way, one thing your viewers and students should take from your success is how your improvements are built from the ground up. What I mean by that is that your fitness came first. All the practice in the world is only going to take you so far at any age, until the injuries start coming. The game will break you if your body isn't bulletproof. I hope people appreciate the work you do behind the scenes.
