Hey guys. Sorry couldnt premiere today, was battling here in Bogota. Got the W 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 quickly, many of you have asked for match commentary. I would love to do that but unfortunately it is hard to do that without giving a lot of strategical insight that can be used against me. My main objective is to climb the rankings and sometimes the videos will suffer because of it. Players typically don't have this much footage online for scouting so it's a fine line to walk. And I rather do no commentary than shitty commentary that brings no value! Keep riding and one day we can go back to all these matches and learn together!! Let's fucking go, top 400

Great Match Karue! I liked the way you worked the points and used/relied on your superior groundstrokes and Accuracy to basically out play him . Big servers are tough to play especially on hard courts. Way to Go Karue!!! USPTA pro here…. I have no critics - unforced errors were minimal … solid match PERIOD! 😊

Highly entertaining. Won with consistency, controlled the ball better, and changed up your shot selection (serve & volley, redirection, slice) sparingly but when it counts. Congrats!

i think guys like this bring out the best in Karue. Against grinders, Karue can be a bit hesitant and tentative. Against a big hitter like that, there's no time to think or be tight on the ball. So the quality of Karue's ball striking and timing is released to achieve its full potential. Karue hits such a nice ball on both wings. Timed it really well in this match.

Notice Sell's positioning on the baseline and how steadfast he is there, able to take many balls on the rise, compared to McCormick, who is consistently further back. Am I the only one who reviews Karue's ball striking in slow motion? See Karue, the effort invested in stepping up your on-court apparel makes all the difference. 😜😜 Thanks for posting another fun match to watch.

Wow, Karue. Some of the best footage I’ve ever seen from your forehand. Short and compact, taking it early on the rise and hitting through it with zero hesitation. That’s your money ball, imo 🤷♂️ Used your looser/wristier forehand when needed on those slower paced balls or balls that were dropping, but damn you committed to taking the majority of those forehands early on the rise and those balls were penetrating through the court with ease. You’re going to keep getting better. You have the Agassi forehand and it looks like you’re starting to believe it too. Keep doing your thing. It’s a treat to watch.

Early in the match, that hold at 1-1 after being down 0-40 was big. Then at 2-1, 40-15, he plays a poor, lazy shot on a short ball. These are the moments that make a difference. Worked his backhand smartly. We can see that your hitting with confidence and focused. Nice match.

Just honest criticism: I honestly watch a few points skip ahead to who wins the set, then go straight to a post match. I think adding commentary like Felix from tennis brothers would be great. I’m okay waiting a bit longer for the videos if they’re higher quality. But watching just these points is not as entertaining as it could be with commentary. Great content, just giving feedback to make the channel better.

There is plenty of high level tennis footage everywhere. I think what really makes you such a great youtuber is a lot of your videos make us smarter. Similar to how Andy Roddick gets into the weeds of tennis. Things like how you break down a match what feelings you are going through in the moment how you manage it. Tennis has a commentation issue we can watch a tennis match but all we see is the ball going back and forth fast. To really make tennis entertaining commentation needs to highlight strengths weaknesses strategy nuance emotion all that. It is definently more effort and I do appreciate you going pro taking us with you. But I do miss some of the nuance and instruction. Though that might mean giving your competition too much insight into your game.
@KaruesellHQ3 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I can't be giving a lot of commentary in matchplay. These are opponents I might face again and I might be revealing strategies and all of that, especially during wins. I plan on doing some stuff but I rather not make fluffy commentary like some other channels. I'm actually competing and getting up the rankings which can put a target on my back. Most players don't typically have these many matches online for scouting so it's a fine line to walk. I agree commentary would make it better but it's just the way it has to be at the moment. Goal is to win more and not get more views. Thanks for the input

I notice on returns you sometimes come forward and split step, others you stay neutral and split, and others you go backwards and split. Is this based on something you're seeing in his service motion? Or based on if it's a first or second serve? Or simply just to give the server different variations of the timing on the return ball?
