Having played through almost all of SJ (inspired by your series), your skill at Celeste is genuinely unimaginable. Funnily enough, Nelumbo was the complete brick wall that stopped my run, and seeing it in this video lets me make a fun comparison. If this puts it in perspective for anyone, the room at 2:22:56 is called Backstreets, and Parrot clears it with relative ease (with practice obviously, though iirc she didn’t spend too long on it in her initial playthrough either). This room single-handedly ended my SJ playthough with how absurdly tough it is to the average casual player. It took me over an hour to clear it once WITH heavy savestate abuse, and 3+ hours into the grind I was unable to do even that more than 2-3 more times. The amount of skill required to clear a cracked map like Nelumbo is already *insane,* and clearing it so cleanly is just on a different level entirely.
