I grew up playing high school golf in Utah and played in a number of region and local tournaments with Tony. I actually played in a group with him (and Gipper) a few times as well. The thin air in Utah carries that ball. I played in Reno, which is close to the same elevation. I was 250 away on a par 5 and decided to layup with a 4 iron. It was a blind shot but it was towards the green and I figured I’d have a pitch in. I walked up and couldn’t find my ball. I was ready to take a frustrated drop when my buddy found my ball in a bunker behind the green.
