I’m so glad Wirtual put me on to this game it’s so much fun. Coming from rocket league it feels like there’s so much transferable precision, like I’m doing exactly what I wanna be but the car just doesn’t react how I expect. It’s like all the fun of learning a new physics based game without the frustration of not being precise on the sticks
@sbaumruk Жыл бұрын
also an RL to trackmania transplant. i def feel like they complement each other well
@RobertDoornbosF1 Жыл бұрын
I mean Rocket League is probably one of the hardest games out there. Trackmania is fairly easy in that regard, though that has more to do with the ranked system. If you consider holding a WR to being SSL, it's more similar Hardly any other games require as much hours as Rocket League.
@imafraidjumitebeeinnagang155 Жыл бұрын
@@RobertDoornbosF1 True. I have like 700 hours and I still can't aerial half the time lmao. But that's just the mechanical side, it also seems like boost management/positioning and game sense takes a lot longer to develop than equivalent skills in other games. Honestly rl is probably the only live service game I truly love as a game, there's just so much depth to it
@xanboyyy Жыл бұрын
I'm a gc2 in rocket league. And I feel like although RL is harder to master, the aspect of beating other players makes competing at the very top just as hard as it is with RL. The easier the task the more people push it to its limit. Thats why wr on an easy map is sometimes more difficult than a wr on a harder map.
@PandaFan2443 Жыл бұрын
Gc1 in rocket league. The thing about rocket league is it requires a lot of game sense and creativity whereas trackmania requires a lot of consistency and a different type of gamesenes. Pure mechanics do seem to transfer quite nicely, though. Rocket League players only need precise inputs in quick bursts. Trackmania players have to maintajn their precision for long intervals. However, Rocket League mechanics are more complicated.

@ZoeylaRose Жыл бұрын
Yeah solipsism is super interesting to thi k about but pointless at the same time cuz if it were to hold true then you are just discussing with yourself anyways
@CrimVulgar Жыл бұрын
It's always funny to me when people go from the quite valuable realisation that "everything we know is filtered through our brains/eyes/ears/etc" to thinking "so how can I know anyone else is real???" full on solipsism, whereas when I had that realisation I was like "damn that makes communication a lot harder than it looks, huh."
@asdfasdfq6005 Жыл бұрын
How is that solipsism? Solipsism is the theory that only your own mind is sure to exist and to extent the world around you too in your mind, not sure what that has to do with your second comment.
@nosleep2332 Жыл бұрын
@@asdfasdfq6005 Solipsism recognizes as real only the contents of individual human mind; beyond that there is nothing. Saying "everyone's reality is perceived through our brain" implies that our brain creates its own reality from what it knows and therefore, only what we know is real. I'd say that's a pretty solipsistic thought, although subjective idealism (which solipsism is based on) may be more precise. As for my second comment, I was merely pointing out how I sometimes have a huge realization only to find out that someone had already thought of that ages ago, as is the case with what Wirt said

@cedricl.marquard627325 күн бұрын
I mean it's been a year, but why exactly did it scare you? I'm curious, because to me it seems like a non-issue. If nothing is as we percieve we have no data on the "real" situation. That mean we can't make any informed decisions and thus no way of acting for us is better or worse since, well we have no meassuring stick as everything is unknown. But that also means there is no difference between acting as though it all were real, or as though nothing were real, because no reliable data. So in one case, if the world is in fact not as we percieve, it makes no difference (so +0). In the other, if the world is as we percieve it, it's good to act like that were true (so + any number greater than 0). Overall we have N × +0 + 1-N × (number greater than zero). Where N is the chance that the world isn't as we perceive. Overall that's just +0 + anything greater than zero

29:00 we don’t know if 2012 actually happened because of CERN’s Hadron Collider causing a black hole or not. Why? The Mandela effect exists. What does this have to do with anything? Most people, up until 2012, hadn’t really noticed this. Why? We may have been stuck in an alternate dimension with an extremely similar timeline but with small, minute changes to our reality. Think of pikachu, the famous Pokémon. No, not the one with the brown/black tip on its tail. The one that’s normal. Look pikachu up really quick and come back and say this is the same pikachu you remember. It’s not, right? This is possible evidence that 2012 did indeed happen, while we got either A. Put in a simulation B. Shifted realities into a new timeline This is a really scary realization.

Ok it's been a year, but still. Assuming we did get put in a simulation: That means all the data (experiences) we can get isn't a representation of the true world. We thus have no idea what is actually going on. Thus we can't make any sensible decisions and nothing matters really, because we have no ground truth. If we didn't get put in a simulation the we have our senses to go off of and some things make more sense to do than others. To me, it makes little sense to wonder about something like that as it just results in a no data scenario.

If you die without a will your assets go to your next-of-kin which in many countries is legally defined to be your spouse/partner first, children next, your grandchildren third (iirc) then if not your parents then your siblings then cousins. It does change depending on the country especially where grand or great grandkids factor in so I could be wrong about those. If you have nobody at all then the state takes possession of the assets and sells them off, oftentimes pretty cheaply relatively speaking. Hope this helps Wirtual :)
